Putting on this festive outfit for the New Year instantly makes it feel like the holiday season. This time, I put some effort into the makeup and wig, specially choosing a brown short wig with cyan streaks. Paired with a gorgeous large bow headpiece decorated with red flowers and white tulle, it not only preserves the character's agility but also echoes the specific theme of "New Year."

For the costume choice, I picked a red modified cheongsam that blends New Chinese style elements. The white mandarin collar and frog buttons on the chest look highly textured. The cutout beneath the neckline combined with floral pattern paneling, along with the high slits on the sleeves and long skirt, makes the overall visual effect both vintage and modernly playful. To match the auspicious atmosphere of the New Year, I also paired it with a red envelope printed with "Gong Xi Fa Cai" (May you be prosperous) in my hands. Combined with the fluffy white shawl, I look not only warm but also extra well-behaved and cute in this Chinese-style cosplay.

The arrangement of the scene was also done with great care. The carved wooden bed, warm yellow paper lanterns, and the scattered red maples and golden decorative plants in the background—every detail serves to recreate the "Celebrating New Year" atmosphere. This rich red-and-gold tone scheme, paired with the red outfit and white fluff, is visually very harmonious.

During the shoot, some fun little episodes actually happened. Because the plush shawl was relatively large, it almost slipped off several times when posing, so I had to adjust its position repeatedly. However, to find the most natural candid effect, we tried various relaxed postures such as sitting and half-reclining, striving to display the most natural and lazy state. I always place great value on the overall recreation accuracy of a cosplay work—not only must the costume fit well, but the expressions, light, shadow, and props coordination must all be top-notch.

Especially the use of light on-site. The photographer used a warm primary light source on my face and attire, showcasing the texture of the fur fabric to the fullest, while the glow on the skin and the texture of the wig were very clear. This style is neither too exaggerated nor lacking in character affinity. We hope that what is ultimately presented is not just the character herself, but also a joyful emotion of welcoming the New Year.

For a good set of cosplay photos to touch people's hearts, besides styling recreation, the emotional expression during shooting is also highly crucial. I particularly like this half-body composition cover; it showcases that calm yet slightly playful feeling I wanted to convey. The frame of holding the red envelope to tease the camera also allows everyone to feel a sense of New Year interaction. After careful preparation and on-site adjustments, I am truly satisfied with this New Year-themed shoot. I hope everyone can feel a bit of the joy and warmth brought by the New Year from this carefully shot photo set.
