[Cantaloupe kid cosplay] Blue Archive Highlander Twins Car Trunk Outdoor Shoot Record

We had been planning this set of deep navy uniforms for quite a while, and we finally cleared a full day to shoot the Cantaloupe kid cosplay from Blue Archive. Settling on this white car trunk scene felt like a great match to both my partner and me for the Highlander Twins' everyday commute vibe. Combined with the crystal-clear sunlight, the shooting efficiency was fantastic.

Starting with hair, makeup, and styling: what took the most effort this time was the two mint-green wigs. To achieve that light, airy, and agile texture, plenty of work went into trimming and styling. Attaching the elf ears was also time-consuming, requiring the ear contour to look natural and seamless rather than awkward. In makeup, we emphasized clear, bright eye expressions, paired with a fair porcelain foundation and strawberry-tinted lip gloss to capture the character's pure, curious spirit.

The garment details were handled nicely as well. The dark navy uniform fabric has great structure; the bright blue piping along the collar, sleeves, and placket showed rich dimension under the sun, while the golden metallic buttons brightened up the whole styling. For the cap badge, we specifically sourced a patch closely matching the original design, instantly boosting character recognition. The White thigh-highs outfit element was something we cared deeply about—it effectively elongates leg lines, and paired with navy shorts and chunky boots, the overall visual center of gravity remained perfectly balanced.

On shoot day, the car trunk was actually a bit narrower than imagined, but the two of us coordinated smoothly. The first composition sitting on the edge making a hand-heart was a spontaneous snapshot by the photographer; we initially just wanted to test a pose, but with the lighting and angle falling into place, it became today's most satisfying shot. The subsequent shots lying along the edge of the trunk tested neck endurance, requiring posture control alongside eye gaze and facial expressions. The white leggings and stockings caught subtle natural reflections under the sunlight, looking gorgeous straight out of camera without much retouching.

Still, sitting on the hard trunk base for a long time got a bit uncomfortable, and white stockings get dirty quickly outdoors. By the end of the shoot, our hems and stockings had dust and asphalt marks on them—the usual little annoyance of outdoor Cosplay photography, but well worth it for the final result. In between takes, we arranged the stickers inside the trunk, a detail that resonated nicely with the uniform design and enriched the frame without leaving it too barren.

Since the theme was a duo appearance for the Highlander Twins, we deliberately choreographed small interactive gestures—like making hand-hearts, waving, or looking at each other—rather than just staring stiffly at the lens, making it feel like storytelling candid snapshots of daily life. The photographer chose a bright, clean color tone that made the mint green and blue combination look exceptionally crisp and refreshing, with the white car background adding a breezy, fresh atmosphere.

In post-processing, color calibration primarily preserved natural light and shadow relationships, softening skin texture while accentuating the clean contours of the uniforms. Overall, this set perfectly expressed the obedient, everyday commuting vibe of the characters. As a cosplayer, being able to bring this beloved design to life through photography and props was truly a joyful experience.
