[Kuromi Serika cosplay] Summer beach in Blue Archive, refreshing moments with a swimsuit kitty

This shoot was set at the seaside in early summer, where although the lighting was soft, the seawater was crystal clear, creating an overall atmosphere perfectly attuned to a summer swimsuit theme. For the outfit, I chose a black off-shoulder two-piece set with white stripes; the ruffle design not only frames shoulder and neck lines nicely but also adds a playful touch. The black short skirt was paired with matching color sandals, while the blue ribbon and cat ears served as iconic character elements. To maintain the styling easily during shooting, the wig was pre-styled, with the high ponytail curve adjusted twice to ensure it wouldn't mess up when winds blew. The halo effect overhead was added in post-production, but during beach framing, ample headroom was intentionally reserved to facilitate post-editing.

To showcase the refreshing feel unique to Swimsuit cosplay, I primarily utilized side-profile looking-back shots and seated poses in shallow water, where surface reflections and gentle waves enhanced dynamic visual layering. Regarding lighting, noon sunlight filtered through thin clouds to form diffuse reflection—neither overexposed nor crushed in shadows—yielding very natural skin tone rendering. With no heavy props beyond cat ears and ribbons, physical movements felt more relaxed and expressive. When capturing looking-back angles, shifting my center of gravity slightly backward with a natural waist twist better highlighted waistline contours and leg silhouettes.

In post-production, I primarily unified the blue tones of the seawater and slightly lowered overall contrast for a more dreamlike aesthetic while preserving realistic skin texture. This set of photos took about two hours to shoot; during low tide, the wet sand felt wonderfully soft underfoot. The entire session went smoothly, with the photographer excelling at capturing gazes—that moment turning to look at the lens actually took several attempts to find the most natural eye angle. White stripes on the outfit reflected light subtly under varying angles, so highlights were dimmed slightly during editing to avoid harsh glares. Given strong sea breezes, the wig got ruffled once mid-shoot, requiring temporary re-fixing with hairspray and readjusting the blue ribbon's placement.

Overall, this Beach photo shoot was a very comfortable shooting experience that relied on natural standing and seated postures rather than forcing complex poses, fitting the relaxed nature of Anime-style photography. I hope this set conveys that fresh yet delightfully languid feel of a summer beach in Blue Archive.
