[Kuda Izuna Cosplay] Energetic Fox Girl of Blue Archive: Convention Photography Records

The moment I changed into this outfit, it felt as though I had truly stepped into the campus of Blue Archive.

For this Kuda Izuna cosplay fox look, I put a lot of thought into everything from character selection to makeup. The pink luminous halo on top of the head and the fluffy fox ears are highlights that grab attention at first glance. The gradient effect on the ear fur looks very natural, and their stability during wearing was adjusted to ensure they wouldn't easily fall off while moving through crowded convention halls.

The pink prop gun in hand was the most heavy-duty part of the entire look. Soft pink was used extensively across the gun body, dotted with alternating white and pink cherry blossom patterns. Paired with a small white pompom hanging near the stock, it preserved weapon cool while perfectly matching the character's cute girl vibe. Holding this gun up with one hand looks effortless, but actually requires solid wrist support; nevertheless, it yielded fantastic results in front of the camera for Convention photography. The fluffy, full fox tail behind me was also key to fidelity, featuring orange gradient fur tipped in pure white for impressive presence.

Regarding the outfit, an eye-catching neon pink T-shirt was chosen, where chest prints and a black neck choker boosted character recognition. The lower half paired a navy blue pleated skirt with fishnet stockings, black mid-calf boots on the lower legs, and thigh ring accents. The entire ensemble showcased Anime-style fashion while staying sleek and full of vitality. In an anime convention setting requiring long periods of standing and walking, the flexibility of this costume was truly commendable.

Lighting conditions on shoot day were quite unique, with dense circular high-brightness spotlights hanging from the ceiling and dark flooring reflecting ambient light like a mirror. Standing on a high bar stool in a one-leg-stepping pose not only gave the body a slender silhouette, but also guided visual focus onto the fox tail and halo. Photographer Naruse was exceptionally skilled at capturing sharp dynamics in large venues, blurring out dense crowds and equipment in the background via wide aperture to make character colors and contours stand out vividly.

For makeup, to recreate the Fox-eared girl's playful yet confident expression, I elongated the eye makeup to emphasize lively eye contours, choosing a natural water-red lip color so facial features remained crisp and 3D even under direct hard light. With every shutter click, muscle states needed rapid adjustment to keep body language relaxed and natural, conveying her unyielding, slightly clever personality.

Sitting on the black bar stool, tail placement angle required careful attention—it needed to drape naturally without looking stiff. I turned slightly to let the tail extend sideways behind me, which, paired with raising my cherry blossom jacket in my left hand, visually broadened overall spatial depth to make the posture more dynamic. Surrounding us were many passing attendees during Convention photography, but thanks to the photographer's intense focus, we quickly found a quiet pocket amidst the bustle to concentrate on character expression.

Being able to hone every element of this look to its optimal state on site stemmed from thorough prior preparation. Wearer comfort and prop maneuverability are key factors determining photo quality. Though every outdoor shoot and convention visit poses a physical stamina test, seeing final shots with spot-on lighting and ambiance brings a deeply satisfying sense of accomplishment.
