[Jalter cosplay] A Rebellious Dark Bunny girl from Fate/Grand Order

The material of this outfit is glossy PU leather, which, paired with black chains and a Bunny girl headpiece, creates a texture under the lighting that perfectly fits the character setting. To capture this slightly dark and rebellious atmosphere, a lot of thought went into the fitting before the shoot. The horn ornaments atop the head were custom-made, and the bunny ears were made of a sturdy material to maintain a crisp, three-dimensional shape. The purple bow and chain around the neck are one of the visual focal points of this photo set; the hanging angle of the chain required special attention so as not to obstruct the neckline. For makeup, we emphasized the reddish flush around the eyes, paired with light gold cosmetic contact lenses to convey a hazy yet aggressive gaze. The shoot took place at Chengdu Huiying Space, where the green leather sofa and vintage bar exude a wonderful retro feel. This environmental color formed a striking contrast of warm and cool, light and dark with the purple outfit, enhancing the overall visual tension.

On the day of the shoot, photographer @蓝桥desu provided plenty of guidance on posing and eye expression. For instance, the original standing pose lacked authority, so switching to a relaxed posture leaning back on the sofa better captured the character's disdainful demeanor. The gesture of holding a wine goblet in the second image was intended to add a sense of dangerous elegance. In the framing, I styled this look with Black stockings and over-the-knee boots, which served as essential sensual elements in this Cosplay photoshoot. The most challenging part was resting my head on one hand while holding the wine glass in the other and maintaining a languid expression, as muscles tend to tense up involuntarily. Holding a stack of banknotes in the first image was a spontaneous burst of inspiration; that casual sense of defiance aligned seamlessly with the character's personality. Before the shoot, I had thought of several other poses, but midway through, I realized that this relaxed seated pose best captured the fusion of the Bunny girl aesthetic and Jalter cosplay, so we settled on it. From the green leather sofa to the banknotes and wine glass, the tactile qualities of the props matched the inherent opulence of the character. In post-processing, we avoided excessive skin smoothing to retain genuine texture, shifting the overall lighting toward a warmer red to create a sharp contrast with the character's inherent coldness.

The hair and makeup were finalized after extensive communication, aiming for a windswept, tousled look. As an accessory, the red string bracelet added a tasteful accent to keep the wrist from looking bare. Overall, the shoot was relaxed with a fantastic on-set vibe; the venue's lighting focused on the purple-red costume with great tactile depth, making it ideal for this style. Most compositions utilized low-angle framing to elongate the silhouette and extend the leg lines, conveying the palpable tension and allure that low perspectives bring. I have always believed that an outstanding cosplay piece depends not just on visual resemblance, but on capturing the character's soul and temperament. Through this blend of lighting, angles, and posture, we strived to recreate how Jalter would look in a bunny suit.

For fans of Fate/Grand Order, this project was a unique endeavor. I hope everyone can feel the atmosphere and the layered textures of the costume through these photos. The overall aesthetic leans toward a dark-style bunny girl; the weight of the chains resting on my elbows helped me immerse into the role, and a natural state always makes for better frames. The ceiling lights had a warm color temperature, so I asked the photographer to use ambient light for rim lighting to sculpt the contours. Maintaining focus on the character's personality throughout the day, the emotions conveyed through hand gestures and gaze, combined with the sofa, brought out both languor and danger. Adopting a stage-performance approach to combine direct ocular pressure with seductive allure, the gaze proved even more crucial than the attire itself. Because the outfit is relatively revealing, I paid special attention to body contouring, emphasizing the clavicle and leg lines to add tension to the silhouette. Whether seated or half-crouched, keeping the upper torso upright was essential to carry the spirit of the costume. Adjusting angles continuously prevented the glossy purple fabric's reflections from becoming harsh while highlighting curves and texture. It was a deeply immersive and rewarding experience.
