【Ryuge Kisaki cosplay】On-site Snapshot at 2024 Bilibili World: Flawless Lighting and Commanding Aura - Image 1

At the 2024 Bilibili World, I cosplayed Ryuge Kisaki from Blue Archive. Over the past few days, I've received numerous Convention photos from the venue, but this particular candid snapshot captured by the photographer left a deep impression on me. It truly captured the distinctive on-site atmosphere to perfection.

Let's start with the hair and makeup styling. The wig was a crucial element—the deep blue long hair paired with the butterfly hair accessory on the side. I specifically compared materials across multiple shops before choosing this glossy finish, which produced gorgeous specular highlights under the convention ceiling lights. For the outfit, I wore a black high-neck sleeveless base layer paired with an oversized dark gray pinstriped coat. This coat drapes beautifully; while sitting on the metal folding chair, I intentionally let it slip slightly backward into the crook of my arms, preventing a bulky silhouette while allowing the lighting to accentuate the subtle striped texture of the fabric.

The leg styling was one of the core visual highlights of this look. The combination of Black stockings and black high-heeled pumps visually elongated my lower-body silhouette. Special mention must go to the on-site lighting setup: the photographer placed a large softbox with a grid directly above me, creating a gentle diffused light that evenly illuminated skin tones. But the most brilliant touch was the strip LED floor light placed close to the ground beneath the chair, casting light upward across my legs and heels. This rim backlighting instantly elevated the entire photo's texture, making the heels and Black stockings exceptionally captivating in the frame.

The shoot took place inside Hall 3 at 2024 Bilibili World. As everyone knows, visitor traffic at BW is massive—the background shows passersby, fellow hardworking cosplayers, and photographers hauling heavy gear. While I was waiting for framing adjustments and people were passing by, the photographer decisively snapped a candid moment of me gazing into the distance from my chair. My expression turned out completely natural, without any stiff artificial posing.

Although the convention floor was noisy and the background relatively cluttered, this authentic slice-of-life realism and vitality are precisely what make anime conventions so magical. Throughout cosplaying this character, I continually internalized her presence—maintaining a poised, elegant composure even while seated. The black hardshell case beside me was just our gear toolkit, and luggage and photography equipment from others are visible in the background; rather than detracting, the layering of all these raw live elements gave the photo a rich storytelling feel.

In truth, with every convention cosplay, the greatest joy isn't producing overly polished retouched shots, but capturing vibrant memories of that exact moment through the interplay of light and shadow in a lively environment. I was thoroughly satisfied with both the preparation and the on-site lighting coordination, and I am deeply grateful to the photographer for executing precise lighting and candid snapshots amidst the noisy crowd. I hope this photo shares that authentic on-site energy with everyone.
