[Venti cosplay] Genshin Impact Outdoor Photography: Feeling the Wind and Freedom

For this photoshoot, we specifically chose a windy lakeside since the character is intrinsically tied to the wind. Initially, I was worried about unstable wind directions, but unexpectedly, the breeze blew the costume's ribbons and wig into very natural dynamic motion, perfectly matching the free feeling of birds and the Wind and Sky. To share some styling details: styling the deep blue wig took quite some thought, accented with braided hair and white flowers. Paired with a white shirt and black shorts, the overall silhouette was clean and sharp. The Black stockings and leather shoes on my feet looked stunning in the photos, but it was genuinely exhausting—especially standing on uneven rocks, which put my ankles to the test. Here's a tip to share: when posing dynamically, hold the prop high with your hand and lean your body slightly back, while keeping an eye on the drape and flow of the skirt and ribbons. The location was chosen on the lakeside rocks, where a low-angle upward perspective captured both the deep blue sky and the vast water surface, accentuating spatial depth. Post-processing mainly focused on the white feathers drifting in the air; because the wind was too strong on-site to toss them at a perfect angle, they had to be composited individually in editing, and fortunately the final result looks very natural. The entire outdoor photography shoot was a joyful experience. Embracing nature outdoors and capturing this unrestrained atmosphere was exactly the theme I wanted to convey.
