[Jeanne d'Arc (Alter) cosplay] The Girl Interweaving Pride and Vulnerability in Fate/Grand Order

A lot of thought went into the outfit and props for this Jeanne d'Arc (Alter) cosplay look, especially the half-face visor headband. To restore that carapace-like luster with a subtle musculoskeletal visual texture, we repeatedly polished customized composite materials. The black chains hanging around the neck varied in thickness, making clanking sounds when walking; although we used a few tricks during shooting to fix their positions, the draped effect presented in the photos fits the character's uninhibited and slightly wild temperament remarkably well.

Because of the night theme, we specifically chose a studio shoot. The set was decorated with antique Gothic stone walls, a massive shattered clock face, along with intertwined withered vines and red drapes. Under these cool-toned lights and shadows, the black leather skirt armor and shiny boots appeared exceptionally textured in this Gothic style cosplay set. I particularly love photo 3, which adopted a high-angle overhead shot, beautifully displaying the red-and-black skirt hem and resolute, prideful body language; combined with the prop spear and the black totem emblem on the white flag, the overall vulnerability and cool demeanor maxed out instantly.

Styling the white hair also took considerable time; it shouldn't be too neat, but needed a subtle wind-blown frizzy texture to form a sharp contrast with the meticulously crafted mask. In makeup, eyeliner and eye color were handled with sharp definition, keeping the gaze detached and aloof, as the character's underlying core in Fate/Grand Order is carrying her past while remaining proudly unyielding.

Honestly, during shooting, holding that long weapon and flag while maintaining a tall, upright posture was quite physically demanding, and the set floor was very hard. However, seeing the reflections of the red gem on the weapon and the sharp black armor under dim light in the final renders made all the prep feel entirely worthwhile. Recreating this character for the second time, my posture control felt much more composed than before. I hope to accurately convey this contrast between cool glamor and a hint of tenderness through this Anime cosplay photography set.
