I wore this styling from Honkai: Star Rail on-site at the anime convention today, and the overall ensemble turned out wonderfully photogenic. The wig features long pink curls with subtle light blue streaks; I curled the ends with extra volume and added fluffy plush pom-pom hair accessories on both sides, creating an exceptionally sprightly aesthetic. The red hat and metallic semi-circular halo headpiece are secured together atop the head; though they carried a bit of weight, it was well within a comfortable range. For makeup, I opted for ice-blue colored contacts to complement the overall palette, styled with prominent lower eyeshadow and pale pink lip glaze to keep the entire color scheme harmonized.
In terms of wardrobe, the upper body features a white high-neck base layer layered beneath a deep crimson cape-style long gown. Trimming and styling the wig took considerable time to ensure the bangs stayed clear of my eyes while the side tendrils framed my face nicely. The White tights held up nicely on camera, and I was careful throughout to prevent any snags. The black leather shoes helped anchor the visual center of gravity for the palette. In crowded anime convention spaces, navigating a sweeping gown always brings the worry of getting stepped on, so we sought out a relatively open roadside curb for photos. The plush props were adorable; cradling that plushie instantly softened my entire presence. The photographer had me raise the prop high overhead, capturing remarkably candid and lively shots. While the ensemble looks opulent, the cape wasn't nearly as stuffy as imagined—as long as we dodged direct blistering sun, comfort remained decent. Still, spending extended hours outdoors meant touching up makeup occasionally, especially around the wings of the nose.
This time I brought along that white plush mascot adorned with a tiny crown and a blue bow. Interactions with it during the shoot were endless—crouching to point at it, raising it over my head, or hugging it close to my chest. The location was along the asphalt pavement outside, where the afternoon light was brilliant; backlighting even cast a luminous halo along the edges of my hair. To achieve dynamic kinetic energy, I gathered the skirt and twirled around, successfully freezing the billowing hem in motion. I met many fellow fans of the title today whose shared enthusiasm made prepping this cosplay profoundly meaningful. The outfit unites the solemn dignity of crimson with the airy freshness of white, which, alongside the pink hair, yields a look both lavish and sweetly poised. Convention photos take a huge toll on stamina and walking all day in leather shoes leaves feet aching, yet reviewing the camera previews made every bit of effort worthwhile. Preparing a cosplay—from wig curation and makeup design down to accessorizing—feels like stepping directly into that character's journey. Gazing through the photos after wrapping up, every ounce of sweat spent finding angles on asphalt under the sun was entirely rewarded.
