Attending HoYo FEST 2026, this Cyberpunk style cosplay and Techwear outfit finally came together smoothly on camera. Waking up early to fit the silver-gray wig, trim the bangs, and apply reddish eye makeup transformed my entire demeanor immediately. Slipping into the white cropped top and black-and-purple jacket, fastening the black tech-accented belt around the waist, and finishing with glossy black shorts and fishnet stockings styling gave the ensemble a remarkably polished finish. The mechanical gauntlet studded with colorful gems on my right hand carried real physical weight, requiring noticeable effort to pose, yet the visual texture on camera was outstanding—especially when raising a hand or waving, where its metallic components gleamed sharply under the expo lights.

The venue lighting was vivid and complex, with backdrops dominated by massive posters and game graphics. While shooting convention photos, I held chibi character cards, a mini handheld fan, and small flags to interact with the camera. For seated shots, I deliberately angled my legs to accentuate the textures of the fishnets and leg harness. In standing poses, keeping my spine straight and raising the mechanical gauntlet near my chest or cheek showcased the garment's graphic patterns to the fullest. Walking through the halls, I met many welcoming players and photographers who were thoroughly respectful of the shooting process. Even though spending the day pacing the floor in shorts, fishnets, and challenging high heels was exhausting, seeing the framing and chiaroscuro captured on the camera screen made every moment worthwhile. The fabrics were rather delicate—the leather panels could easily crease—so I remained vigilant about my posture during breaks to avoid compressing the material.

During our midday break, resting by the booth to hydrate offered a chance to chat with fellow cosplayers about wig styling and makeup techniques. We shared plenty of insights regarding fabric sourcing and prop fabrication. Heading back to the show floor in the afternoon, the illuminated graphics and typography on the display walls functioned almost like natural bounce reflectors. With props in hand, I stayed mindful of arm placement so as not to break the overall silhouette. Overall, shooting at this convention was an exceptionally fulfilling experience, and the hall's staging sparked endless creative inspiration. That wraps up this batch of convention photos for now; I will share the remaining frames once they are fully sorted.
