Here are some Pardofelis cosplay Convention photos taken at the Hefei Dimension Gate Anime Expo. Since she is canonically an agile cat, the core focus of this photo set was capturing high-tension, dynamic action. The low-crouch stance in the first photo was physically exhausting: keeping my center of gravity low while maintaining body balance and accurately catching the lens took numerous frames before landing on this favorite shot. This posture flatters the leg contours beautifully, complementing the thigh straps and White stockings to showcase rich texture under backlighting, perfectly achieving the cool edge I wanted.
During the shoot, using a wide aperture combined with overhead convention lights produced a gorgeous ring of bokeh. The ground smoke effects paired with warm orange background lighting instantly maxed out the atmosphere, evoking the tense aftermath of a battle. The props were far from light; supporting them firmly with the wrist while holding a natural pose was quite a challenge. The outfit is packed with details—including beast-ear headwear, shoulder pauldrons, and the white drapery along the back—all requiring careful adjustment to sit snugly for optimal 2D fidelity.
Finding this exact angle on-site took quite some time, as we needed my face clearly visible without obscuring the weapon's details, all while navigating heavy convention crowds. Using a telephoto lens helped isolate me from the background crowd while compressing the depth of field. The wig was custom-styled; to prevent it from looking flat under strong lights, multiple hair ties and layers of styling spray were used to hold that pristine curve even while sweating indoors. Even though the costume was restrictive and the boots were heavy, seeing the finished shots made every bit of effort worth it.
The character herself is delightfully carefree—as if saying, "Leave fighting to Boss Kevin, I definitely can't do it, but gosh it looks cool, meow!" Embracing this mindset, I didn't need to force dramatic expressions; instead, a natural, slightly tsundere and languid gaze was the most captivating. The second photo features a more relaxed over-the-shoulder glance, mainly highlighting the white fabric across the back and the glowing blue blade of the weapon. The cool-toned lighting paired with the blue blade created exceptional texture. In post-processing, I mainly preserved natural skin texture while enhancing the White stockings and costume contrast. Convention shoots are fast-paced and demanding, so capturing these split seconds where both dynamics and expressions hit the mark made this trip to Hefei utterly worthwhile, fully realizing this seamless blend of cool flair and cuteness.
