The group photoshoot captured that serendipitous synergy, with the two rotating centers positioned right in each other's background. Diao Diao (our photographer) chose fantastic angles that yielded great shots. When arranging the standing positions, the photographer had each of us stand behind the other; surprisingly, using each other as the backdrop conveyed the fateful atmosphere between the Hysilens × Cerydrapairing far better than simply standing side by side.

This Honkai: Star Rail Helektra cosplay and Cerydra cosplay duo shoot took immense effort with costumes, makeup, and props. Helektra's outfit features extensive ice-blue tulle and structured headpieces that flow gracefully while walking, but take up substantial room—requiring extra care during solo shots to avoid stepping on the skirt hem. Cerydra's costume centers around black, white, and blue; beyond the hefty greatsword prop, the most eye-catching element was the black Stockings cosplay. Black stockings easily suffer from uneven glare on camera, requiring special lighting adjustments. Diao Diao was very experienced and shifted the key light to the side to bring out the sleek sheen of the stockings perfectly, while the neckline design accentuated flattering chest-to-waist proportions. To elongate leg lines, I adjusted my standing posture and hip placement multiple times, using posing techniques to maximize the visual impact.

While the greatsword prop had amazing texture, it was genuinely heavy and made my arms sore over time. However, that authentic weight made the sword-wielding posture more natural, and the tensed muscle exertion fit Cerydra's battle-ready intensity.

Capturing the duo interaction shot (Photo 3) was far more demanding than the solo shots, taking extensive trials to find that distinct Hysilens × Cerydrapairing vibe. To recreate the reclining and caressing poses, we repeatedly balanced our lower back support, and even painstakingly arranged the yellow ribbons scattered on the floor piece by piece for effortless yet refined ripples. During breaks, we continued studying pose compositions while Diao Diao patiently guided us on adjusting profile angles to soften light and shadows.

For post-processing color grading, we chose a unified warm peach backdrop, which effectively highlighted the contrast of the black, white, and blue garments alongside the luminous skin glow. From the group shot placement to the visual tension of the black stockings and sword in solo close-ups, down to the final duo atmosphere, this shoot faithfully captured their bond from the Amphoreus climax. As the cosplayer in front of the lens, having such seamless coordination with my partner and showcasing the finest costume textures and character traits made this photoshoot a completely satisfying achievement.
