[Vodyanitsa cos] Genshin Impact blue-themed cosplay elf ear style, elegant sitting posture in white gauze floral arrangements

Today, I'd like to share the shooting records of this Vodyanitsa cos from Genshin Impact. From the preliminary preparation to the official release, the entire process was filled with fun. Since the character's design leans towards an ethereal and fantasy style, a lot of effort was put into the costume and makeup. The wig uses a highly saturated bright blue, with the hair ends trimmed to create a layered sense, paired with white floral hair accessories and blue leaf decorations, instantly making the overall styling three-dimensional. In terms of makeup, the emphasis was placed on the depiction of the eyes, wearing bright blue contact lenses, paired with slightly reddish eyeshadow and elf ear props, making the character's non-human traits more obvious.

The costume details are extremely rich. The white strapless top features a silver metal badge, and the blue gemstone on the chest complements the lace choker on the neck. What I like the most is the sleeve part; the white layered ruffled puff sleeves form a sharp material contrast with the blue metal sleeve armor. The design of the skirt hem is also very layered; the outer layer is semi-transparent tulle with blue lines, and the inner layer is a dark blue long dress. When walking or sitting down, the draping feel of the skirt hem and ribbons can well increase the dynamism of the frame. The paired silver thick-heeled high-heeled sandals and pearl anklets are also meant to make the overall styling more exquisite in details.

To fit the temperament of this outfit, the scene is decorated with a large number of white gauze sheets and floral arrangements. The white-green floral arrangements on the left and right sides prevent the frame from appearing too monotonous, while the reflective material paved on the ground gives the overall light and shadow more layers. Under high-key and soft lighting, the whole person seems to be placed in a dreamy pure white space. The state during the shoot was very relaxed, and I tried a variety of sitting postures to showcase the lines of the skirt hem and legs. For example, sitting on a chair with crossed legs and hands naturally extended, this not only showcases the tailoring of the costume but also gives the frame a visual sense of extension. Tapping the chin lightly with one hand or pointing towards the lens is to increase the interactive feel of the frame.

During the shooting process, I needed to constantly pay attention to the direction of the skirt hem and gauze sheets to avoid them tangling together and affecting the neatness of the frame. Since the skirt hem is relatively long with a large area of tulle, after every adjustment of posture, the folds need to be re-arranged to ensure that the presented posture is elegant and breathable. This shoot gave me a deeper understanding of how to use venue lighting and costume materials to shape a character. As a cosplayer who likes to challenge different settings, I really enjoy the process of bringing 2D characters into reality, restoring that specific atmosphere through the cooperation of costumes, props, and demeanor.
