[Bai Feng Cosplay] Azur Lane's Silver Moon, White Tights, and Japanese-Style Fantasy

This was my first time trying to interpret Azur Lane's Bai Feng with such an ethereal, cool-toned aesthetic. Having previewed this set previously, I have finally organized the complete final photos. Featuring Changsheng in front of the lens, the studio set design was undoubtedly the biggest contributor to creating the atmosphere for this shoot.

Let's start with the concept behind this look. The original character design incorporates many naval elements, but to enhance the visual tension for Japanese-style photography, we adopted a modified blend of Chinese and Japanese aesthetics. The upper body retains the primary black-and-white color contrast, while the mini skirt at the bottom makes the legs look exceptionally long. Paired with white pantyhose for a White tights cosplay look, the overall sense of purity and contrast is striking. The oversized white bow accessory at the waist adds substantial presence, with its metallic embellishments seamlessly connecting the upper and lower color blocks. For the hairstyle, I used an ultra-smooth silver-white long wig accented with a dark hair clip on top, where the movement of the hair strands revealed rich layers under the lights.

Regarding the set and lighting: within a pitch-black environment, the massive circular illuminated moon board behind me served as the absolute core light source. This backlighting combined with side lighting traced an ultra-bright rim light along the edges of the hair; that hazy halo around the hair strands, combined with the surrounding pink cherry blossom branches, truly matched the character's ethereal personality. The floor was blanketed in dry ice fog produced by smoke pellets, swirling around the wooden platform and accented by a Japanese paper lantern on the right, constructing a dreamlike scene.

During the actual shoot, the process tested facial expression management and body control immensely. Because we had to balance the overall shallow depth of field under a wide aperture while preventing the smoke from obscuring my face, the photographer's shutter timing was crucial. I chose a pose sitting sideways leaning against the edge of the wooden platform, with one leg naturally bent and hands relaxed. This posture is far less rigid than standing, instead conveying a lazy yet commanding contrast. When shooting this set, special attention was paid to the gaze; being in a backlit environment easily creates messy eye reflections, so we adjusted the light angles to make the eyes look clearer and more detached from the mundane world.

For makeup, to complement Bai Feng's distinctive aura, I chose a clean, porcelain base, focusing on the eye contouring and lip color. Instead of bold red lips, I opted for a softer nude lip gloss to prevent the makeup from overpowering the character's aloof demeanor. The choice of stocking material also factored in light reflectivity, using a style that reveals a subtle texture when illuminated, making the leg lines appear softer and more delicate amid the dark tones and smoke.

The real challenge of this styling lay in infusing personal artistic interpretation while maintaining the character's original traits. Although the outfit features crisp 2D tailoring, we softened this sharpness through gentle lighting and flowing poses. I am extremely satisfied with today's final photos—the composition, lighting, and overall color grading faithfully bring to life the vision I had for Bai Feng. I hope this Anime cosplay set brings everyone a pleasant visual surprise, representing a very dedicated endeavor in Changsheng's photographic explorations.
