The photo set for Jiang Nannan's Berserk Tender Rabbit form is finally sorted! Modeling here is me, Lan Dawang cosplay. From receiving the garments to wrapping up in the studio, immense dedication went into every step. This outfit features intricate layering: an inner white mandarin collar edged with golden piping, layered under a cropped purple jacket adorned with substantial gold embroidery. The most challenging element was definitely the sleeves—voluminous white cascading water sleeves patterned with purple motifs that easily tangled during motion, requiring continuous calibration of arm tension and angles. The purple mini skirt on the bottom integrates traditional Chinese frog closures and golden tassels, finished at the hem with vibrant orange and yellow panel accents that pop with remarkable dimension under the lights.
The head styling demanded equal precision. Long, dark-purple wavy hair with blunt bangs was paired with a white floral headband, with the most eye-catching feature being the brownish-red bunny ear headpiece accented by white striations. To embody the dynamic tension of the Berserk Tender Rabbit, I experimented extensively with posing choreography. Beyond standard standing stances, I incorporated wide-motion actions like raising one leg, extending both arms outward, and half-kneeling atop a white cylindrical pedestal. These stances put my core strength and balance to a rigorous test; balancing on the pedestal in clear-strap block-heeled sandals meant keeping my toes and leg muscles tightly engaged at all times to prevent slipping or losing balance.
The studio's pink-purple gradient backdrop complemented the purple and orange palette of the costume flawlessly. The lighting design brought out both the airy flow of the cascading sleeves and the weighted drape of the skirt. To freeze the best moments, I fine-tuned the extension of my leg lines and arm placements repeatedly. For instance, when outstretching my arms, curving the fingers slightly enhanced the sense of motion, while kneeling required spreading the skirt hem naturally to avoid covering the waist tassel details. Between takes, the wig required constant touch-ups to ensure the curve of the bangs stayed neat despite dramatic movements. In terms of expression control, I maintained the character's signature cool, subtly aggressive gaze.
Shooting dynamic action roles like this always takes a heavy physical toll; holding one-legged stances and kneeling stretches keeps the muscles under continuous strain. Although the clear heels had a manageable height, prolonged posing placed substantial pressure on the soles of my feet. To ensure the skirt and sleeves unfurled at their best angle for every shutter click, many poses had to be executed multiple times. Seeing the final garment details, wig volume, and posing tension, every adjustment felt completely worth it. I'm personally thrilled with the color harmonies and dynamic rhythm of this set, and I hope this visual energy resonates through every frame.
