Shooting this White Dragon set for Spirited Away just happened to coincide with a rainy day, but it provided rare, pure Natural light conditions. The light green short hair is the character's trademark, paired with the classic white cross-collar top and dark blue-grey shorts; the overall outfit is very refreshing and easy for outdoor activities. The site was chosen in a dense forest full of ferns and aquatic plants, surrounded by thick ancient trees and a stone bridge, fitting the natural atmosphere when the character first appears. The entire shoot was done barefoot on damp grass and moss; although the environment underfoot was challenging, it allowed me to better feel the breath of the land. The shot with the ancient tree was the highlight of this set, using the trunk and branches for limb extension, naturally forming the visual center of the picture. The diffuse reflection of light on a rainy day is very soft, avoiding excessive highlights and making the vegetation present a translucent, deep green luster. When working with the photographer, we focused on capturing the moment of raising my arms on the stone bridge, looking up at the rain, striving for relaxed and natural movements. Although rainy days are a test for camera protection, the true texture brought by this pure Natural light is hard to replace by studio shooting. Post-production had minimal adjustments, only unifying the color tone to highlight the tranquility of the forest. Through this live shoot, it was also an effective restoration of White Dragon's indifference and spiritual aura.
