The crowd at the anime convention venue today was massive, and the lighting inside the exhibition hall was quite complex, but Changli's two-tone pink-and-white wig and red-white-black outfit had an eye-catching visual presence on-site. Because the setting of Jinzhou Magistrate's Counselor naturally carries a cool, composed aura, I deliberately chose poses like resting my chin on my hand and clasping my hands together. Paired with a red Japanese-style paper umbrella, it also served well to block out the chaotic background crowd. As a dedicated Wuthering Waves player, the main preparation for this Changli Cosplay was adjusting the fit of the outfit. The form-fitting white top and strappy design are quite demanding on figure, and combined with the chest and waist accessories, took considerable time to organize; the golden patterns on the red gloves were also painted on bit by bit with pigment. The star-patterned black stockings paired with pointed high heels elongated my leg proportions beautifully. Although walking around the convention was tiring, seeing how the photos turned out made me super happy. The photographer's lighting was spot on, using portable strobe lights to darken the background and enhance the color contrast of the red umbrella. Because many convention-goers wanted photos together, I maintained the character's poise the whole time, letting everyone feel the dignity of Jinzhou's official. The photoshoot at the convention was more challenging than expected. Changli's costume is not only form-fitting, but also features multi-layered red sleeves and flowing ribbons, requiring constant adjustments in crowds to prevent wrinkling. Luckily, I met fellow cosplayers on-site and exchanged tips on makeup palettes and wig styling—such as the best bang curvature for making the face look smaller on camera—which will be super helpful for future cosplay. I am very satisfied with the overall atmosphere of these convention photos. The post-processing focus was to preserve natural skin texture while emphasizing edge lighting and the silk sheen of the red umbrella, highlighting an aura of majesty and tranquility. If I get another chance to cosplay this character, I'd like to try more dynamic poses, such as turning my head under natural light while holding the red umbrella. This convention truly let me experience the unique charm of Changli. Though the costume is intricate, faithfully capturing the essence of the character within the Wuthering Waves universe brought a great sense of accomplishment and enriched my experience in photography and styling.
