To bring out Hoshimi Miyabi properly this time, significant effort went into just styling the wig and ears alone. The long straight black hair was trimmed with blunt bangs, matched with the oversized black beast ears atop my head; the hair texture had to flow naturally rather than look stiff. To achieve the ideal plush texture, I experimented with several styling waxes and setting sprays, ultimately producing that subtle flutter as breeze passes through. For colored contacts, I chose reddish-brown hues to complement the blended eye makeup, aligning as closely as possible with the character's sharp, composed gaze. The wardrobe details were equally essential: the crisp structure of the white shirt, the snug fit of the black tie, and that loose gray-blue jacket—I deliberately sized up the jacket to achieve that effortlessly slouchy yet Tactical style aesthetic.

Regarding props, the long blade was custom-crafted; the black-and-white diamond-pattern wrap on the hilt and the silvery metallic finish of the blade carried authentic heft and substantial weight in hand. What satisfied me most were the tactical accessories: the black leather chest harness, the badge emblazoned with 'H.A.N.D,' along with multi-layered tactical utility belts around the waist and a dark gray backpack on my shoulders instantly elevated the overall layered depth. The bottom consisted of a high-slit black pleated skirt paired with black Stockings and combat boots, establishing a sleek, decisive Tactical style tinged with dangerous allure.

During shooting, to honor the character's lore, pose designs pursued clean, sharp lines. Single-handed unsheathing, raising the blade overhead, or holding the sword while half-kneeling—each posture demanded core engagement from the entire body. Posing while handling such a long sword placed considerable strain on the wrists and shoulders. Yet recreating that perilous, captivating presence requires executing every pose precisely. The moment of letting the jacket slip halfway off the shoulder, or the stern demeanor of standing profile with blade in hand, were dialed in through repeated adjustments of shoulder and arm angles. The venue lighting was relatively hard-edged, fitting the dark palette of the tactical uniform perfectly; crisp highlights falling across the metallic blade and leather accessories made the textures stand out remarkably.

When capturing half-body close-ups, I paid special attention to conveying emotion through my eyes. Hoshimi Miyabi is not a character of expressive volatility, so on set I suppressed excess emotion, keeping facial muscles relaxed while channeling vigilance and composure through my gaze. Wearing a wig and animal ears shifted my head's center of gravity, meaning every head turn required measured control so the ears wouldn't break immersion. Furthermore, bound by multiple leather belts and harnesses around the waist, crouching and standing were restricted, requiring the assistant's help to smooth fabric folds whenever changing poses.

The materials of this outfit easily catch specular reflections on camera—especially the white shirt and leather gloves—so we communicated at length with the photographer regarding lighting angles, using side-backlighting as much as possible to outline contours and enhance overall three-dimensional form. Overall, these Hoshimi Miyabi convention photos explored diverse actions and angles, capturing both the quiet oppression of holding the blade and the dynamic tension of drawing it. Shot in a clean, minimalist convention booth space, the lack of background clutter allowed the subject and complex costume props to remain the visual center, elevating the set's texture through the clash of light, shadow, and tactile materials. From organizing the wardrobe to internalizing the character's presence, the entire process felt like a creative reinterpretation of her persona. Despite the physical exhaustion, the moment the frames came through made every bit worthwhile.
