February in Izu is truly beautiful, and it was a perfect opportunity for Cherry blossom photography. Challenging this Okita Souji cosplay, the biggest surprise was this Kashuu Kiyomitsu sword. As a real piece, its texture is impeccable—the steady weight in my hand and the fluid lines perfectly restore the sword aura from the work. Under the cherry blossom trees, paired with the cool tones, this intertwining feeling of resolution and gentleness within the flash of swords is excellent. In front of the lens, I kept ruminating on this line: "To protect those by my side, those fighting alongside me, I take up the sword." This sense of mission to fight for companions is the core of Okita Souji's character. Every swing of the sword, done with a refined Kendo style, felt like a dialogue with the "guardian" deep within my heart. In the moment the cherry blossoms bloomed, that loneliness and firmness of fighting for protection were precisely captured by the lens. Thanks to @Mirrow for the professional capture, restoring the light, shadow, and texture to the extreme. This shoot is not just a costume restoration, but a deep excavation of the character's inner world. The blooming of cherry blossoms and the swirling of sword shadows gave this creation a deeper layer of thickness.
