Today, these two straight-out-of-camera photos come from moments quickly captured under a 50-150mm lens. As a cosplayer, when I first got this outfit and wig, I knew in my heart that I just had to shoot it paired with the cherry blossoms of this season. That line from my previous post, "I hope you can always smile so happily," was indeed the state I strived to convey during the shoot.

Let's talk about the details of this styling first. The silver-white short hair paired with a big black bowknot hair accessory makes accuracy highly critical. In terms of costume, this white top with its collar and red lining outlines, along with the deep red wide waist belt and skirt hem underneath, actually takes some time to wear and adjust. Especially the black belt and red bowknot at the waist, they must be tightened just right to hold up that sharp sense of lines. To make the figure look more three-dimensional, I intentionally added a large piece of pale blue-cyan fabric as an embellishment; holding it in hand or letting it lift in the wind can neutralize the strong visual impact brought by the red and white colors.

Big shoutout to Ah Dong—we really had great chemistry in capturing snapshots and choosing the venue. The bokeh capability of this 50-150mm focal length performs beautifully in the cherry blossom forest, turning the large fields of pink cherry blossoms in the background into soft bokeh, allowing the figure to stand out completely from the complex environment. Especially in the low-angle perspective of Figure 3, the sunlight filters down through the flowering branches, hitting the wig and cheeks. The soft light and shadow give the frame an extra layer of dreamy color, which undoubtedly adds a lot of atmosphere to the character's temperament for this cosplay photography session.

But then again, shooting this set was quite a test of body coordination. Because the wide sleeves and hem are actually quite heavy, if you want to display that lighthearted dynamic feel like in Figures 1 and 2, you must simultaneously balance the fabric in hand and outward stretching movements. After several attempts, we actually shot quite a few negatives, so being able to firmly grasp the expressions and balance in these two photos makes me truly satisfied.

The cherry blossoms are in perfect bloom, and the petals drift down as the wind blows; this fleeting beauty truly fits the atmosphere surrounding this character from Fate/Grand Order (FGO). Carefully organizing the outfit, including that pair of worn-looking brown ankle boots on my feet—when putting them on and standing on the grass, I actually hope to let those who follow this work feel that this is not just a simple change of clothes, but a recreation of the character's state of life.

Putting aside the character's name and the work itself, just standing beneath the blooming trees, shedding all distracting thoughts to feel the wind and light of this spring, that calm yet leaping mood is also genuinely real. At the moment the shoot ended, the sun was still dazzling, but I thought to myself that as long as this moment's smile could be left here through the lens, it was all completely worth it.
