The theme of this outdoor shoot is a sense of summer training, specially chosen during the peak of Kyoto's hydrangea season. To capture a composition overlooking Kiyomizu-dera, I climbed five hundred steps to the tomb of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Although it was physically demanding, when the light and shadow filtered through the tree canopy onto the courtyard, it felt entirely worth it for this Hydrangea photoshoot.

The character portrayed this time is Okita Souji from Fate/Grand Order. The kimono haori with blue and white geometric patterns on a white base, the black corset, and the over-knee boots, combined with the handheld long sword, blended a daily vibe with a sense of training through the photographer's lens. The photographer @铁板鱿鱼人 is excellent at using hydrangeas as a foreground; whether it's a half-body close-up or a full-body pose holding the sword, it beautifully presents the character's fresh and sharp temperament.

Under the outdoor natural light, the contrast was sharp, but the colors in the final photos turned out exceptionally clear. I really love the snapshot where I am holding the sword and lowering my head slightly; it looks very relaxed and natural, without the stiffness of forced posing. The profile shot of wielding the sword combined with the ancient architecture in the background creates a perfect harmony between the Japanese-style atmosphere and the character itself, highlighting the quality of the Japanese-style costumes, makeup, and props.

Going on an outdoor location shoot is actually tiring, but the moment I put on this gear, a sense of immersive presence arose naturally. The condition management and scene adaptation this time both met expectations, making it a highly fulfilling shooting experience.
