Ever since I got this Cerydra character wig, I have been conceiving how to make this silver-white to ice-blue gradient look more natural. For such a high-contrast metallic character, the texture of the wig is a key step in determining the overall temperament.

The hair material selected is a matte heat-resistant fiber. Although this material requires more cautious temperature control during manipulation, the resulting reflection effect is very restrained and won't produce that kind of cheap plastic highlight after lighting. The front bangs took quite a bit of time, needing to be trimmed into a slightly layered heaviness, while the hair bundles on both sides must ensure outward-extending three-dimensionality, rather than sticking limply to the face.

The biggest feature of this wig is its back styling structure, especially that single-strand braid on the left side. It isn't just simply fixed into the hairnet, but needs to be integrated with the main hairstyle; after braiding and tightening, it also needs to be combed to have fluffy edges. The nape position, combined with a black bowtie ribbon, can nicely modify the transition area between the wig and the neck. Since this is still the archiving phase for personal use, I specially applied hairspray several times to ensure the overall shape doesn't shift. Whether it's the long sideburns in front or the braid in the back, every styling blind spot must be checked one by one.

When dealing with the gradient tones, the most important thing to watch out for is preventing the color layers from looking too abrupt. This piece has an excellent blending effect at the transition area; the sinking feel of the blue and the saturation of the white happen to present a sense of coolness under the sunlight. Although the photos this time only show it worn on a foam mannequin head model for a few display shots from various angles with no real person appearing, the contours and proportions have already been adjusted to a state that meets my expectations.

Once all accessories and costumes are in place later on, I will release the official photoshoot with complete design details. The current record is to facilitate adjusting the styling proportions later, and it also serves as a self-reference. Cosplay wig styling involves combing, thinning, cutting, and shaping—every step must be repeatedly considered. No matter how skilled the technique is, one still needs to archive a few more sets of styling photos to find the best angle for the camera.

I feel the current length and curvature are relatively faithful to the character's setting. The process of doing the wig styling by myself brings a great sense of achievement; just smoothing out these few long side hairs consumed a lot of energy. With the subsequent combination of makeup and props, the accuracy should be further elevated.
