Presenting this set of Robin's photos indeed took a lot of thought. From the early makeup design to the on-camera posture adjustments, I worked hard to match the temperament of this character. Light blue long curly hair is the soul of the entire look. When I got the wig, I made many fixes and adjustments to the feather decorations on both sides and the golden halo on top, because if the angle is wrong, it can easily look stiff in front of the lens. For the eye makeup, I specially chose light blue colored contact lenses to echo the hair color, and the sparkling rhinestones embellishing the corners of the eyes reflect points of light under the soft illumination, breaking the monotony of the overall single white color.
For the costume, I chose this white and purple tulle dress. The skin exposure on the shoulders and back beautifully highlights the neck and shoulder lines. Wearing the white feather decorations and hair accessories gives a lightweight floating sensation. This pair of white long gloves, paired with the purple ruffled trim and star pendants on the upper arms, instantly maxes out the exquisite sense of detail. The replication accuracy of the prop staff is also crucial; the blue and gold color scheme and the wing-shaped structure at the top have a substantial sense of weight in hand. The white piano and withered branch set design at the shooting scene perfectly align with Robin's aura of symbolizing purity and healing, creating an ethereal and soft visual baseline.
When shooting this set, although these white thick-soled chunky-heeled shoes have a great heightening effect, to maintain an elegant posture, standing for a long time actually tests physical stamina. Especially when sitting sideways on the edge of the piano like in the fifth photo, it is necessary to balance both center of gravity control and the spreading of the skirt hem, making the image look natural and extended. With the help of the lighting technician, the overall presentation achieved this high-key soft light effect, which not only restores the character's ethereal and self-healing style but also makes every detail of the frame look soft and textured. Whether it's the refraction of the crystals on the headpiece or the texture of the dress material, everything is beautifully preserved in the photos.
Actually, every time doing this kind of pure white baseline cosplay, I pay special attention to the smoothness of the clothes and environmental hygiene. On the shooting day, I repeatedly checked if the purple lace at the edge of the skirt hem had wrinkles. From the silhouette of the styling to the control of the overall tone, I hope this set of photos is not just a replica of the outer appearance, but can better transmit that peaceful and gentle feeling of the character itself. After the final photoshoot results came out, it was indeed brilliant, and everyone looking at these individual pictures should be able to feel the focus and dedication at the scene back then.
I have done many different looks, but this Robin set indeed left a deep impression on me regarding the overall presentation. To coordinate with the white main color palette of the scene, we specially treated the indoor windows and doors and floor-length tulle curtains before shooting to better control the diffuse reflection of natural light. For the blue-gold disc design at the top of the prop staff, we tried many different holding angles during shooting, striving to clearly display its three-dimensionality when looking back or turning sideways. When shooting in front of the piano prop, I also paid special attention to the placement of my arm and leg lines, which could neither look forced nor form a reasonable visual interaction with surrounding elements like white withered branches and birdcages.
In fact, during the entire preparation process, whether trimming the edges of the wig to make it fit the face shape better or touching up makeup at any time during shooting breaks to maintain the completeness of the eyeshadow and rhinestones, every step required patience. This counts as a token of my respect as a cosplayer toward the character. The Anime-style photo set finally delivered did not heavily rely on heavy post-processing filters but tried as much as possible to preserve the real on-set texture, light, and shadow, heavily restoring my personal first impression of the character Robin.
