[Sorasaki Hina cosplay] Blue Archive Disciplinary Committee Head's Summer swimsuit: Outdoor photography Sharing

This time, I shot this swimsuit look on an outdoor rooftop terrace under the summer sun—a rather special attempt since my usual style leans towards combat or academy aesthetics. Using the scorching weather, I created a refreshing summer-themed photo set.

The setting was an open-air rooftop balcony. The sunlight on the day was exceptionally bright; while direct overhead sunlight truly tested the photographer's lighting control, it also filled the entire frame with a luminous, translucent clarity. The backdrop featured lush greenery, a blue-and-white inflatable pool, and a large transparent swim ring. Combined together, these elements instantly crafted a refreshing summer vibe, producing clean and crisp color tones in our Outdoor photography session.

For the outfit, I chose a black one-piece swimsuit. Such deep tones easily accentuate fair skin against summer backdrops while balancing out the high saturation of the green plants behind me. The wig was made of heat-resistant fibers; to faithfully recreate the hair's texture, I spent considerable time trimming it beforehand to ensure the volume on top and the curves of the side bangs aligned with the character's temperament. The horns on top were sculpted from hard materials for solid stability, ensuring they wouldn't wobble during shooting. Additionally, the floating purplish-black jagged halo effect was added in post-production; this non-physical accessory beautifully complemented the original character lore, lending a wonderful 2D aesthetic to this Sorasaki Hina cosplay.

A lot of thought also went into preparing props. I brought a massive transparent inflatable swim ring accented with black straps and red ribbons. This swim ring had noticeable weight in hand; standing and hugging it in the first photo utilized its transparent material to reflect surrounding light into dappled highlights on my body while balancing the composition with a large white-toned prop. Another prop was a pink plastic toy water gun placed beside me in the seated photo, injecting a playful, lively touch into the static scene.

For makeup, the focus was placed on defining the eyes. I chose light-colored contacts to soften facial sharpness, while eyeshadow featured warm orange-red tones, making my gaze look bright under intense sunlight while blending naturally with the everyday base. The lips were coated in a soft, gentle shade to lend a youthful, approachable feel to the face, paired with subtle shading along the jawline to keep facial contours crisp across all camera angles. For footwear, I wore black double-buckle platform sandals, fitting the splash-play theme of a Summer swimsuit while visually elongating leg lines, achieving balanced proportions alongside the sleek one-piece.

The shoot was both exhausting and joyful. Because the outdoor temperature was scorching, the intense sunlight, heavy wig, and full makeup made it very easy to sweat. Fortunately, photographer @猪油膏 managed the shooting pace brilliantly with brisk efficiency, completing multi-angle framing in the shortest time. The first standing composition captured me holding the swim ring with lively dynamic energy, utilizing the transparent prop's perspective to add layers to the frame; the second photo showed a relaxed seated state with legs gently bent on a soft mat and the water gun set beside me, intentionally building a natural, leisurely break during playtime.

We also paid special attention to the ground texture, laying down a transparent waterproof plastic tarp. This reflective material produced intriguing highlights under the blazing sun, diversifying the brightness and colors at the bottom of the frame. Although outdoor light was intense, adjusting angles and using reflectors balanced the exposure between the subject and background foliage, keeping deep shadows off the face. Bathed in natural sunlight, the finished photos captured a beautifully translucent texture that fully matched my expectations for this summer theme. While every outdoor shoot is tiring, seeing such ideal results makes all the preparation and effort completely worthwhile in this Cosplay sharing showcase of Blue Archive.
