This time, I'm presenting a white lace look for Ram. To achieve the closest possible effect to the original character design, I poured a great deal of thought into the hair, makeup, and garment details. The pink short wig was trimmed to the perfect length, with the thickness of the blunt bangs and the length of the side tendrils finely tuned according to the character's proportions to naturally flatter the face on camera. The red contact lenses are the soul of the look; I chose a large-diameter style, paired with slightly upturned eyeliner and individually defined lashes, striving to capture Ram's signature glance—tender yet tinged with subtle pride. For the base makeup, I deliberately chose a matte foundation so it wouldn't look overly shiny under flashes or strong studio lights, preserving clean, translucent skin.
What fascinated me most about this pure white off-the-shoulder dress was its intricate layering. The deep V-neckline connects to an oversized white satin bow, while the bust and shoulder edges are embellished with delicate lace trim and cascading ruffled pleats. To keep the look dynamic, the sleeves were specially styled into puff sleeves spliced with lace, offering a lovely drape whenever I lifted my arms. For the headpiece, the white wing-like hair ornaments on both sides served as the crowning touch, complemented by petite white bobby pins to add an airy, weightless feel. The fabric has substantial weight yet remains quite breathable, and the stitching along the lace edges is clean and gentle against the skin.
During shooting, the soft room lighting illuminated the white fabric beautifully, casting a dreamy atmosphere. In photo one, I tried clasping both hands near my cheek, which naturally emphasized the sleeve details, drew focus to the crimson eyes, and subtly revealed the shoulder and neckline. In photo two, I partially covered my face with one hand, letting my eyes peek through the fingers; paired with shimmering nude-pink nail art, it created a playful yet slightly enigmatic aura. Cosplay is never just about wearing clothes and a wig; often, hand placement and gaze focus dictate the final result. Wearing large red contacts slightly alters visual perception, taking some time to adjust and find the most flattering eye angles. With so much lace on this outfit, donning it required careful handling each time to avoid snagging. I also utilized a few techniques along the hairline to make the wig look like naturally growing hair, slightly setting the side strands with hairspray to hug the facial contours.
Usually, when cosplaying gentler characters, I prioritize expansive, relaxed postures. With Ram, however, her maid demeanor and subtle tsundere edge mean the poses cannot look overly slack. For instance, in photo one, the hands carry controlled tension—held close to the cheek without fully resting on it to maintain a delicate sense of distance. In photo two, the finger spacing for the face-covering gesture was practiced several times to ensure it didn't look stiff while beautifully showcasing the nail art texture. The lace trim and satin fabrics reflected light differently, which is why I continuously adjusted my angles throughout the shoot. The entire session felt like a dialogue with the character, understanding how her expressions would unfold in such a setting. The shoot went exceptionally smoothly today. The craftsmanship of this ensemble is truly worth appreciating—from the satin bow's luster to the tiered lace layers, everything translated exquisitely on camera.
