Cosplaying Remielle from Zenless Zone Zero this time, this outfit features an immense amount of details, and the texture upon wearing it is exceptionally fantastic. The glossy leather corset paired with semi-transparent tulle long sleeves presents completely different reflective effects under the lighting, perfectly fitting the character's temperament. To recreate that dark elf feel, I also specially prepared a pair of prosthetic pointy ears, adjusting the angle before the mirror for a long time after putting them on. Combined with the pink short hair and the star facial markings on the forehead, the overall styling's completion made even myself extremely satisfied. The shooting location was chosen in a place with a strong gothic vintage style, surrounded by hanging crystal bead curtains and metal brackets, with the floor being a fully reflective black mirror surface. This kind of environment actually places quite high demands on lighting and poses, because the highly reflective floor reflects numerous stray shadows, so the photographer put plenty of thought into lighting design. In this front-facing shot in photo 1, I attempted to showcase that cold yet slightly mysterious state of Remielle, with hands hanging naturally, which, paired with the cinched-waist cut, highlights the body curves and garter Stockings details. Because the leather clothing is relatively form-fitting, continuous adjustments of breathing and posture were required before the shoot to ensure muscle lines remained relaxed yet full of tension. That giant black feathered wing decoration on the back is absolute the highlight of this costume; photo 3 specifically captured a high-angle overhead shot where I leaned against the railing, which best showcases the tulle sleeves, the red straps on the back, and the layered tension of the feathers. The feather material itself carries a subtle shimmer, which, paired with the on-site cool-toned light source, captures a shattered yet gorgeous feeling when photographed. The squatting posture in photo 2 actually tests core strength quite a bit; to maintain the graceful leg lines while also balancing the returning gaze, the vintage picture frames and giant chess pieces on the ground also wonderfully enriched the frame's sense of storytelling. Throughout the shooting process, I kept pondering the tension of movements—how to utilize long legs and Stockings to add a touch of aggressive sexiness while not destroying the character's inherent cool-and-fierce vibe. This photo set took quite a lot of tossing about, but seeing the light-and-shadow and material details in the finished photos, everything felt completely worth it. As a cosplay work, the restoration of costume, makeup, and props is one aspect, but establishing the character's aura within a specific scene is what I wanted to express the most. The overall styling's layering is extremely strong, from the corset's metal buckles to the skirt hem's star patterns, every single detail is worth slowly zooming in to appreciate in the photos. The makeup attempted this time also leans towards cold glamour, with eye makeup intensifying pink gradient blending to echo the hair color, and lips utilizing a watery-textured lip gloss that reflects slightly under cool light, preventing the overall appearance from looking too rigid. Actually, shooting such characters with a slightly enchanting attribute makes gaze control exceptionally important; one cannot simply stare blankly at the camera, but must imagine oneself truly immersed in that mysterious space. The shooting experience at Tao Tao Studio this time was fantastic, with plenty of prop choices in the studio that wonderfully inspired shooting creativity, and I'm also very grateful for the photographer's patient guidance in snapping many of my favorite angles.
