Today, I am fitting the Office Lady styling of Yixuan from Zenless Zone Zero. The first impression this outfit gives is being capable yet carrying a strong visual impact. The black and white striped short-sleeve shirt paired with black high-waisted suspender shorts, stepping into black open-toe high-heel sandals, creates a very sharp overall silhouette. Actually, the difficult part of this styling is how to balance the professional feel with the character's own special temperament. The composed and relaxed vibe in Yixuan needs to be found in every detail of the outfit.
For the wig, silver-white long straight hair was chosen. That single ahoge on top of the head and the small black bow are the soul; putting them on immediately brings out that mysterious and slightly oppressive aura. The length of the wig is almost waist-length, so when posing, you always need to pay attention to the direction of the hair strands to avoid tangles or knots.
I'd like to focus on the stockings. This time they are paired with black translucent pantyhose, featuring two black vertical lines running from top to bottom on the back. This kind of back-seam stockings visually flatters the leg shape greatly, and paired with shorts and high heels, it maximizes the elongation of the leg lines. When standing facing forward, the ID badge and lanyard serve as a great embellishment, making the whole styling look more like a real workplace character. When leaning sideways against the wall, I tried a pose with one leg raised backward and fingers hooked around the heel of the high heel, which can better showcase the S-curve of the body and the texture of the stockings, while holding a black clutch bag in hand to add some interactive feel with props. The metal watch on the wrist is also a small highlight, adding a bit of cold and hard texture to the black main tone.
During the fitting process, I paid special attention to the cut of the shirt. If the short-sleeve shirt is too loose, it will look lifeless, so the shoulder line and the fit at the waist were slightly adjusted. The metal clips of the suspenders have a subtle reflection under the lights, and the detail handling basically met expectations. Although the wig is very long, its smoothness is great, and it's not too difficult to manage. This styling does not require complex makeup coordination, but the sharpness in the gaze is very important because Yixuan's temperament itself is quite strong.
Regarding the material of the clothing, the fabric of the shirt is skin-friendly and breathable, and the suspender shorts have a certain elasticity, so there won't be too much restriction when posing. The toughness of the stockings is also good and they don't easily snag, which is very friendly for shooting that requires large movements. The height of the high heels is moderate, and the buckle design at the ankle is both aesthetic and ensures walking stability.
This fitting is mainly to prepare for the subsequent shooting, and the overall effect is better than expected. Although the Office Lady style seems everyday, through the stacking of details, such as the ID badge, watch, and clutch bag, a strong character personality can be shaped. From the tailoring of the clothing to the choice of accessories, everything tries to restore that calm and professional atmosphere of the character. In fact, fitting is not just about seeing if the clothes fit, but feeling the character's behavioral logic and body language in advance. For example, placing the center of gravity on one leg when standing and leaning slightly backward can present a different aura.
With the overall matching, whether displayed facing forward or leaning sideways, this outfit can present the character's traits very well. The length of the wig and the position of the hair accessories also need to be adjusted repeatedly to ensure they don't look messy in front of the lens. I hope the final finished photos can present the ideal visual effect. Next, I still need to try more in terms of shooting locations and lighting so that the overall atmosphere fits the setting of the original work even more. This fitting process gave me a deeper understanding of the character, and I look forward to having an even better state during the formal shooting.
