This set of photos of Zenless Zone Zero Cunning Hares' Nicole was completed in a carefully constructed industrial-style real-scene studio. The overall shooting concept was very clear: to use the lens to recreate Nicole's visual state as a member of Cunning Hares, carrying a street vibe and a rebellious feel, always ready to take over the battlefield. Because there was a clear plan for the costume details and overall color palette in the early stage, the shooting progress of this set was relatively smooth.

What I find most eye-catching about this outfit is actually its various layerings. The white crop top on the upper body and the black leather jacket form a classic black-and-white color contrast. The jacket features an off-the-shoulder and detached sleeve design, which not only makes the arm lines appear more slender but also adds a bright playfulness to the toughness. The black leather choker on the neck features an industrial-style cut-out design and a metal ring, focusing the visual highlight of the entire upper body.

The black raw-edge denim shorts on the lower body, paired with two thick belts with metal buckles, add to the overall heavy-industrial texture. However, the core focus of this outfit lies in its asymmetrical design. The black cut-out distressed long stocking and intricate leg straps on one leg visually elongate the leg lines. Combined with black chunky ankle boots, it handles the sense of power belonging to wasteland industrial style very well while balancing the character's inherent vitality and sexiness with great Long socks styling.

Two props were specially prepared for this shoot. One is a black hard-shell suitcase printed with white warning symbols and geometric element patterns, presenting a realistic heavy-industrial sci-fi tech texture under the lights and carrying a solid weight when held. In addition, a fluorescent green plush doll is attached to the waist; this striking color contrast visually enriches the character and makes the image more memorable.

I am very pleased with the hair styling. The long wavy pink hair paired with a black bow hair accessory on top of the head, along with wispy bangs framing the face, appropriately accentuates girlhood traits. Green colored contact lenses and elongated eye makeup make the eyes look very expressive in front of the lens, conveying Nicole's confident and unruly personality foundation.

The background setup this time aligns very well with the character's setting. Wire mesh, wooden frame structures, black-and-yellow warning tape, and scrapped tires in the corner together outline the venue atmosphere of street skirmishes or commission sites. The on-site light sources were also specially arranged, using cool-toned blue as ambient base light while adding red and orange rim lights behind and to the side of the subject. This strong contrast between warm and cool tones makes the entire image present a tension akin to arcade games or cyberpunk styles.

With the photographer and the model being the same person, this indeed placed high demands on physical strength and energy. I had to consider the aperture and shutter speed combination to ensure balanced exposure between the background and the subject, while also finding the exact spot where the light hit the body and striking appropriate poses before taking every single shot. When taking full-body photos, I deliberately tried a dynamic pose with one leg lifted while holding the suitcase, preventing the frame from looking too rigid and instead conveying a dynamic sense of being ready for action at any moment. When shooting half-body close-ups, I paid special attention to finger placement and the sense of communication between the gaze and the lens, trying to present the character's natural emotions as much as possible.

Regarding cosplay as a form of expression, I have always felt that the essence lies in immersion. This time, I tried to completely put myself into Nicole's state, keeping facial expressions and body language as true to the character's traits as possible. Although the whole shooting process was somewhat exhausting—from organizing costumes and wigs to continuously adjusting lighting and standing positions on-site, and finally pressing the shutter button—every single step was constantly refining the final photos. After seeing the final results, I can genuinely feel the overall completion of the work. Through this set of photos, I hope to showcase this image of a Cunning Hares member with a touch of street rebellion and combat atmosphere in a more realistic and grounded way to everyone. This was a very enjoyable creative process; it was not merely about recreating the character, but also a joyful experience where the identities of creator and subject merged into one.
