Remielle's pure white styling holds unmistakable visual distinction in Zenless Zone Zero, and this photoset was brought to fruition at Taotao Studio. The wig was chosen in a vibrant bright pink, custom-trimmed into a blunt-banged bob; to faithfully honor her pointed-ear lore, elf ear prosthetics were applied, while the silver star headpiece across the forehead served as the crowning touch of the overall hair and makeup. For makeup, I maintained a sheer, translucent base while deepening the contours around the eyes to ensure crisp, dimensional depth under intense studio strobes.
The wardrobe details are exceptionally intricate: a white cold-shoulder bodice paired with light blue and lavender satin accents, detachable flared bell sleeves along the arms, and a soft blue ribbon tied at the back. To channel the character's airy weightlessness, all garment hems were trimmed with delicate white lace. The heaviest element was undeniably the pair of oversized white feathered wings mounted at the back; donning them required meticulous harness calibration, otherwise sustained standing rapidly exhausted the shoulders. Footwear featured silver lace-up block heels paired with lace-trimmed white stockings (over-the-knee socks), an ensemble that visually elongated leg proportions and, working alongside the high-slit skirt tailoring, organically showcased fluid leg contours across varied poses.
The studio set embraced an all-white European classical aesthetic, complete with pointed gothic arches, Roman columns, and candelabras. Such a high-key luminous environment poses a rigorous challenge to photography, as white garments easily bleed into the background; hence, lighting demanded careful rim light sculpting to carve the subject's silhouette cleanly away from the set. The side-reclining pose in Photo 1 and the standing posture in Photo 2 were executed under distinct lighting setups. Leaning slightly forward while naturally opening both arms during standing poses helped present the expansive volume of the wings to the fullest. Meanwhile, the over-the-shoulder half-body close-up prioritized the lines of the back and shoulder blades, an angle that effortlessly highlighted the back details of the garment.
The entire shoot was remarkably time-intensive: because both the wings and the gown were voluminous, every pose transition necessitated resetting the fabric and smoothing the feathers, placing substantial demands on physical control. Balancing atop high heels while keeping my center of gravity steady was essential to avoid stepping on the skirt hem. Furthermore, the white stockings were prone to slipping against the polished floor, requiring extra caution during dynamic poses. Thanks to the seamless synergy between lighting, styling, and props, this photoshoot achieved our envisioned results—the pure white wings juxtaposed against bright pink locks forged a striking visual clash, yielding a tactile texture of genuine substance.
