[Cissia Cosplay] The Snake Logo and the Red-Eyed Girl in Zenless Zone Zero

Doing this Cissia Cosplay in Zenless Zone Zero, the overall costume structure and detailed design were very challenging for me. Starting with the most eye-catching head styling, the golden wig was trimmed with a natural sense of layering. That iconic ahoge on top of the head required special hair wax to shape and support its lively feel, and the high twin-tails tied on the side were paired with white fuzzy ball hair ornaments, making the overall look very vibrant. The black Small snake hair clip among the hair strands echoes Cissia's unique elemental characteristics, which is also a point many people have mentioned.
The focus of the clothing section lies in the color-blocking design and leather texture. The neckline of the upper body features a black collar paired with a white circular halter-neck strap, forming a highly interesting visual cut at the neck, which can both elongate the neck line and prevent it from looking too monotonous. The bright pink left half of the top and the black right half form a strong color contrast, combined with the green plaid bowknot on the left side, blending the character's cuteness and personality just right. The waist girdle section is the soul of the entire outfit; the black background texture paired with golden diamond stitching not only provides a waist-slimming effect but also feels stiffer in texture. The white hollowed-out cross decoration right in the center of the waist and abdomen, along with the giant golden five-pointed star belt buckle below, serve as the visual centerpiece of the entire look. With the embellishment of these metallic elements, a lot of overall personality stands out.
The arms section is likewise full of details. From the shoulders to the upper arms, detached white ruffled sleeve covers were added; this off-the-shoulder visual effect beautifully showcases the collarbone lines and forms a contrast with the exaggerated sleeve designs. The black leather armlets at the wrists are not only printed with white letters but also feature metal buckle details, adding a techwear feel to the clothing.
When shooting, to better restore the character's demeanor, I specially referenced the character's standing posture. The hand movements need to form a slight angle with the body posture so that it won't feel rigid. The gaze needs to convey the character's slightly cool yet playful atmosphere, so for the eye makeup, red-brown colored contacts and a corresponding eyeshadow color palette were used to amplify the eye details.
While organizing this gear, I could also feel the creator's ingenuity. The material selection for the pink fabric is actually very sophisticated, possessing a certain soft-light texture; even under indoor lighting that isn't particularly bright, it can still hold up the color saturation without looking cheap. The faux leather material used for the black corset has its own faint reflective effect, making the silhouette light and shadow around the shoulders and waist more three-dimensional during shooting. There is also a detail that can easily be overlooked: the white circular halter strap, which forms an inverted triangular space between the neck and the collarbone. After putting it on, one's posture naturally straightens involuntarily, and with the binding feel of the corset, it actually serves as a great aid for posture control. I also made many attempts at movement amplitude and expression capturing; whether lightly opening both hands, tilting my head slightly, or even when crossing my hands, I tried my best to make the posture conform to the character's casual yet opinionated attitude.
These photos were shot against an indoor wooden door background. Although the background is simple, it just happens to focus the visual centerpiece of the clothing onto the person. I hope to transform that unique temperament from the Anime-style fashion setting into a complete presentation in reality through this cosplay. Every time I adjust details in front of the mirror—such as straightening the position of the five-pointed star belt or adjusting the curve of the wig—it's a process of striving for perfection. Although it takes a lot of time to pack up the wig and costume after each shoot, seeing Cissia beautifully restored in the finished photos makes me feel very comforted. I hope this set of photos allows everyone to see my dedication to restoring the character.
