[Sunna Cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero x KFC Collaboration Offline Photoshoot Log

Standing in front of the offline event store for the Zenless Zone Zero x KFC collaboration, today's photoshoot task revolved around the character Sunna. The theme wasn't merely about portraying the character herself, but also capturing that energetic vibe of an underground idol, creating a seamless fusion with the real-world event setup on site.

The color palette for this look is super refreshing. The light cyan twintail wig serves as the primary visual focus; I specially styled soft, airy layers and topped it with white heart-shaped sunglasses, creating a vibrant summer aesthetic. The small black triangular hairpin on the forehead and the cyan mini horn on the right hair strand are highly distinctive details in this outfit. Although small, these accessories served as perfect finishing touches, making the character look extra playful and lively.

To get closer to the character's expression, I chose light green colored contacts and opted for a lighter, airy eye makeup technique paired with soft pink blush. To enhance the idol stage makeup feel while keeping it balanced, I selected a subtle lip color that wouldn't overpower the rest of the look, nicely complementing the prominent pink and white tones of the costume.

Looking at the costume itself, the white top printed with bold pink lettering paired with red-and-white striped suspenders creates rich visual layering. The specially designed choker and pink long arm sleeves elevate the design aesthetic, while the compact white wings make the idol charm feel more three-dimensional and tangible. The fabric and tailoring of today's outfit were extremely comfortable for moving around offline, allowing me to strike that hand-heart pose effortlessly.

Speaking of the hand-heart pose, this gesture was specifically synchronized with the 2D illustration on the KFC collaboration meal mat on the table. To recreate that shared-frame feeling and break the fourth wall, we put a lot of thought into controlling camera angles and framing—ensuring that real-life me not only dressed like the illustrated character, but matched her movement and expression on the exact same wavelength. The final result delivered a really fun collaboration feel.

Regarding the "underground idol" label, in today's casual cosplay session, I hoped to capture a multi-dimensional persona—slightly tsundere, yet brimming with vitality. The challenge of idol-type cosplay goes beyond the outfit; it lies in expressive tension—making people feel her confident, shining presence on stage. During today's shoot inside the store, despite being in a restaurant environment, the red backdrop paired with a great mood gave me an immensely strong sense of immersion.

Overall, this Zenless Zone Zero x KFC collaboration provided cosplayers with a fantastic real-world setting to bring characters to life. Stepping from 2D illustrations into a 3D real environment, every outfit element, accessory placement, and hair/makeup detail required repeated tuning to hit expectations. This set of photos largely captured the refreshing, energetic aesthetic intended from the start. Being able to harness this idol energy to create memories on site made for a thoroughly enjoyable offline Sunna cosplay endeavor.
