When shooting these vampire cosplay convention photos of the young mistress, the sunlight was quite harsh. Direct outdoor light really tests the completeness of the look, especially the wig and reflective materials. The lighting at the Worldline convention that day was exceptionally clear, even producing a high-key studio-like backdrop effect under the intense midday glare, which gave plenty of room to preserve textures in post-processing.

This time I tried an ice-blue curly hairstyle paired with bright red contact lenses. The base makeup was kept clean and translucent, with emphasis on the red blushing under the eyes to give an otherworldly, exotic vibe. Red lips served as the visual anchor of the makeup, creating a complete color connection with the red rose decorations on the dress, the lace cutout at the collarbone, and the black-to-red gradient bat wings on my back.

As for the outfit, it features layers of white lace, pearls, and bow ribbons, topped with a fluffy maid-style large ruffled headpiece, packing rich detail into the design. The row of metal eyelets and criss-cross lacing along the sleeves are cool highlights of the overall style; the hard metallic hardware contrasts beautifully with soft white tulle, injecting a touch of gothic flair into the sweetness. This outfit leaves the shoulders fairly exposed, which, together with the white woven sleeves and fitted arm cuffs, combines with a crouching pose to showcase the skirt's layered depth and the proportioned lines of the white thigh-highs outfit.

During shooting, besides constantly adjusting the angle of the giant wings to avoid snagging the outfit, I referenced classic character poses while adding personal preferences. Crouching with fingertips touching created an arrogant yet playful theatrical feel. The high-angle reach-out pose in photo two utilized perspective rules to build a strong sense of interaction, pushing character emotion toward the lens. The pose in photo three focused on facial and hand detail expression; paired with bright direct light and the white railings in the background, it brought a brighter rhythm to the overall frame.

During outfit prep, the trickiest parts were securely fastening the wings and headpiece. To ensure nothing dropped unexpectedly during a full day of events, I reinforced the interior with extra anti-slip buckles. The texture of the white tights was also carefully chosen; I ultimately selected a thicker embossed style so that details wouldn't get washed out under intense outdoor lighting, while creating a pleasing texture contrast against the intricate lace outer skirt.

The charm of Touhou fanon lies in injecting your own ideas into the original design—combining different wig colors with exaggerated, opulent accessories can give classic characters a completely fresh vibe. Although preparing props and donning the outfit took considerable time on the day of the shoot, designing the costume and poses successfully captured the elegance and mystery belonging to the vampire mistress as much as possible. The atmosphere at the anime convention was great, giving us plenty of space to experiment with poses.
