[Remilia cosplay] The collision of five-hundred-year-old majesty and thirty-year-old reality

When shooting this finished set, the atmosphere in the studio was actually quite relaxed, but once I picked up that red cross spear, the feeling shifted slightly. When I mentioned "a 30-year-old portraying a 500-year-old" in the post, it was really just poking fun at the character's age setting versus my actual age. Saying it's neither cute nor majestic indicates that I still carry a tiny pursuit in my heart; being able to present this sense of contrast can be considered a solid attempt.

The overall completion of the styling this time was actually quite high. The most critical part was the makeup done by Maomao. The light blue short wig was cut into that airy look with a bit of wispy fringe, which, combined with the red colored contacts, immediately established the visual focus on the eyes. The red eye makeup is the finishing touch, with the area controlled well so it wouldn't be overly exaggerated and steal the spotlight from the costume, while retaining a bit of demoniacal and tsundere feel. My nail polish also matched the red accents, with nails and eye makeup echoing each other from afar, keeping details as consistent as possible.

For the costume section, this pink and white dress features highly complex ruffles and multi-layered pleats, with red bow decorations at the shoulders, chest, and waist. The weather was actually quite humid and hot on the shooting day, and putting on and taking off this multi-layered clothing along with the black bat wings behind truly required a lot of physical strength. However, for the sake of that fluffy and cute effect in front of the lens, I had to endure the heat. In terms of props, that red giant cross spear is super photogenic; although made of lightweight materials, the spray-painted texture is excellent, so holding it didn't present a heavy burden, making it very easy to strike various poses.

Huge thanks to Guiqi for choosing a venue that fits the character so perfectly this time. This library filled with walls of wooden bookshelves and a vintage red carpet, paired with translucent yellow sheer curtains and warm yellow table lamps, natively carries a mysterious yet classical narrative feel. Guiqi has a great knack for using light and shadow in Anime-style photography, especially those angles shot from a low perspective with a wide-angle lens, which exaggerated the size of the red spear immensely. Paired with the rim light on the back, the entire frame looks incredibly dynamic, and the oppressive and mysterious atmosphere instantly popped out.

During the shooting process, controlling emotions and expressions was truly a discipline. It couldn't look overly mature, yet it had to break away from being purely "cute," achieving that vibe of "although having lived for five hundred years, she still maintains a childish nature with a bit of awkward arrogance." I found myself unconsciously lifting my chin, feeling that it better suited the character's personality. Especially in the last few shots where I lift the skirt hem or hold a teacup, capturing the demeanor indeed required a moment of relaxation.

Having played cos for so many years, I care less and less about the "likeness" aspect, and value the coordination of the entire team and the screen aesthetics of the photo itself much more. This collaboration with Guiqi and Maomao truly allowed me to experience a unique visual transformation. When the final photos came out, although I still mocked myself for being neither cute nor majestic, this is the most authentic me—an ordinary enthusiast still persisting in the love of cosplay. Standing inside this narrative-filled library under the lights is inherently a piece of time worth recording.
