For this Rem light blue cat maid shoot, extensive preparations were made well before stepping into the studio. The costume itself is richly layered: a white base layer underneath, enveloped by a light blue printed dress, with abundant lace ruffles stitched across the neckline and hem. To faithfully capture the 'light blue' theme, everything from wig selection to cat-ear headband coordination underwent repeated adjustments; the yellow ribbon on the headband served as the crowning touch, injecting a playful pop of color into the blue-and-white palette.

Regarding makeup, special emphasis was placed on the eyes. After putting in blue colored contacts, the eye makeup incorporated soft blue-pink gradients to harmonize with the overall color scheme, paired with a subtle, low-saturation rose tint on the lips so the finish wouldn't look overly heavy against the bright, solid white studio background. The plush cat ears needed teasing beforehand for fluffiness, and their mounting angle required care—tilting them slightly delivered a far more natural, lively look.

The studio lighting on the day was exceptionally even; the cyclorama wall at Kumi Studio reflected light seamlessly, which greatly highlighted the delicate lace textures of the garment. For the first shot, I sat on the floor, shifting my weight onto one leg while extending the other forward to visually elongate leg lines. Under this illumination, the White stockings exhibited a gentle matte texture; pointing my toes slightly and resting a finger against the edge of my chin balanced a touch of playful charm with relaxed ease. The second shot was a full-body seated pose with crossed legs and relaxed feet, making a shushing gesture while looking straight into the lens. This centered composition cleanly displayed the intricate details of both the skirt hem and detached sleeves.

Because the outfit features detached sleeves, leaving the shoulders bare alongside an elaborate collar, keeping the fabric smooth and preventing the lace from flipping over required constant vigilance. Photographer Kallen provided helpful compositional input during shooting—particularly the perspective-rich half-body close-up in Photo 1, utilizing the circular platform's curved edge to enhance depth and let the legs and White stockings take center stage. The studio temperature was comfortably conditioned, allowing me to sustain energy throughout despite the layered costume.

The wig ends required airy volume, needing frequent touch-ups with a comb between takes to prevent flattening or frizz. Overall, the visual focal point of this look lies in the puffed silhouette of the skirt and the cascades of lace. As a cosplayer, one must not only embody the character's persona but also adapt postures to showcase the garment's finest details. These subtleties are difficult to fix in post-production if not calibrated on set. From costume prep and makeup application to studio lighting coordination, every step was thoroughly planned, and the textural quality of the final images fully achieved our artistic vision.
