[Sandrone Cosplay] Detail Analysis and Try-On Sharing for the Puppet Look

With the Sanfen Wangxiang Puppet costume finally here, I'm documenting several key reference-worthy details from this try-on session. Overall, the level of completion is exceptional. Many parts of this outfit use leather-like fabric, which produces distinct highlights and rich dimensionality under actual lighting, far from ordinary thin cloth. The color palette of black, white, red, and gold is executed accurately; the red jewel and golden structural pieces on the chest are fully three-dimensional with noticeable substance, rather than looking flat like stickers.

I really have to highlight the wind-up key mechanism on the back—this structure was designed with great care. It's crafted from a soft, lightweight material, which means it carries minimal weight and can rotate freely on its own. Even with larger body movements or accidental bumps, it won't break or snap off. Using a softer material to replicate a mechanical aesthetic preserves visual continuity while drastically lowering the risk of damage during shoots, which is incredibly practical.

Next, let's talk about the petticoat. To get the Puppet skirt hem to flare out properly, finding the right petticoat size combo is a bit tricky. For this fitting, I paired a 30cm bustle petticoat with a 30cm daily petticoat. This combination props up the skirt's basic silhouette, but looking closer, the skirt's length would actually suit a slightly longer petticoat better. Currently, the flare looks a bit flat; switching to a longer inner petticoat or one with stronger support would make the volume and length match the intended garment design much better. I plan to fine-tune this before the official shoot.

For the legs, I chose White stockings. This pairing works wonders with the skirt hem, balancing the look while flattering the contours of the legs. The black-and-red high heels on my feet complement the red-and-white accents on the skirt's edge nicely. The weight balance between the headpiece and wig is also well-engineered; the base of the headpiece offers ample support and remains stable without shifting from sudden head movements. Its petal-like shape harmonizes with the chest ornament, keeping the visual center of gravity unified.

Walking around during the fitting, the fabric didn't feel restrictive or overly strained, allowing smooth movement. Holding a teacup for poses felt natural in the hands, and mirror shots highlighted overall body curves nicely. Because I'm still adjusting the petticoat sizing, this try-on was primarily to check how all the pieces fit together. Overall, the garment quality is outstanding for its price point—thoughtfully detailed and comfortable to wear without fatigue. It aligns faithfully with the original design; for a character so close to my heart, pouring effort into polishing it is completely worth it.
