This shoot is an outdoor Swimsuit cosplay of Rem from Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-. Before shooting, preparations were mainly focused on the costume and props: the dark blue swimsuit with a white text label on the chest, paired with a pink-and-white swim ring, nicely recreates the character's casual summer vibe. The wig is light blue, styled with the signature pink X-shaped hair clip on top.

We scouted the location in advance, choosing an outdoor pool with steps. Considering the water surface reflections, the lighting mainly utilized natural light slightly past noon, combined with the camera's highlight suppression settings to ensure details in the wig and skin highlights were not lost. The first photo adopts a frontal standing composition, placing the subject in the center of the frame with legs slightly apart, using the tension of arms resting on the swim ring to showcase the overall physique. This standing posture effectively presents the full-body costume details and prop coordination, while also making the reflection in the water clearly visible.

The second photo features a side-profile look looking back over the shoulder while carrying the swim ring, using a foreground composition with blurred green foliage on the right. A wide aperture was used to achieve a shallow depth of field, blurring out the blue water surface in the background. In terms of posing guidance, leaning the body slightly forward, turning the head toward the camera, and letting the left arm naturally extend outward added dynamic visual energy. Because the water reflection was relatively strong, post-processing focused on adjusting the contrast of cool blue tones, keeping the skin naturally fair, and brightening the colors of the pink-and-white swim ring in hand to make it stand out from the background.

A small interlude during shooting was that the pool water was quite chilly, and the wig became heavy once wet, requiring frequent resets. During the actual shoot, because the swim ring prop was large and easily blocked movements, we had to constantly adjust the positions of hands and the ring to find the optimal angles. Once wet, this outfit clung closely to body lines, so body turns were utilized during the shoot to accentuate curves. As a cosplayer, I tried my best to embody the character's temperament through specific poses and expressions—enriching the visual depth through the direct gaze in the first photo and the backward smile in the second. The entire Outdoor photography shoot and post-processing went very smoothly, making it a wonderful Anime cosplay attempt.
