[Amiya cosplay] Arknights Bunny girl's Everyday Piano portrait

This shoot took place in an interior studio featuring hardwood flooring and a piano, primarily aiming to capture Amiya from Arknights immersed in quiet musical performance. The core styling builds upon an off-the-shoulder white ruffled blouse paired with a dark maxi skirt; the delicate black ribbon at the neckline and the pleated detailing along the cuffs received my utmost attention during fittings. To prevent the blouse from looking too minimalist, I cinched the waist with a metallic-buckled belt, harmonizing bodily proportions beautifully beneath downward angles.

Trimming and sculpting the wig took nearly two hours. Because of the oversized rabbit-ear accessory, the crown required ample support prepped with styling wax and positioning clips, otherwise the sheer weight of the ears would easily flatten the wig fibers. The side bangs were left long with subtle inward curves, accented by a silver cross-star hairclip and black bow, catching clean metallic glints whenever the key lights grazed past. Cosmetics prioritized the eyes: azure lenses paired with softly darkened shadow blending maintained crystalline catchlights even beneath warm ambient indoor fixtures. The blue band rings worn on my fingers were spontaneous subtle touches, thoughtfully echoing the ribbon tie's hue.

Posing tested bodily discipline far more than anticipated. Perched on the piano bench, the spine needed to stay upright without feeling rigid or staged. The second and third frames were captured from a high-angle overhead perspective, which places high demands on facial composure, collarbones, and necklines. To banish stiffness, I rested my hands gently across the keys or interacted with a violin bow and sheet music. Even staging the score pages on the music stand was intentional—layering them slightly askew introduced visual dimension without letting flat white sheets overpower the focal point. The plush white doll and mini floral basket perched atop the piano were impromptu additions, softening the frame's edges against the dark timber grain of the instrument.

For illumination, we avoided harsh speedlights in favor of warm ambient fixtures softened by a softbox fill. Afternoon daylight streamed through the windows onto the keys, rendering gentle, diffused shadow transitions. To safeguard the intricate textures of the white blouse, highlights were dialed back slightly in-camera before lifting shadow values in post-production, preserving porcelain skin translucency without clipping the textile's weave. A wide-aperture lens proved invaluable for close-ups, blurring the background wainscoting and tiled textures into smooth bokeh that locked viewer attention strictly onto the bond between the character and the piano.

Throughout the entire session, this casual interpretation of Amiya felt exceptionally well-suited for everyday narrative storytelling. Free from heavy weaponry or cluttered props, it relies on sartorial nuance and poised physical stillness to convey delicate emotions. Post-production stayed faithful to the authentic color grade, applying subtle chiaroscuro balancing and skin retouching without overt color shifts. I hope this collection delivers a touch of serene tranquility, commemorating this fleeting interlude inside the piano studio.
