[Rem cosplay] Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World, record of a seaside blue-and-white striped swimsuit

Under the intense outdoor light of the summer seaside, this shoot for the blue-and-white swimsuit look was successfully wrapped up. Aside from restoring the basic characteristics of the character, the core of this shoot focused more on capturing the interaction between the unique natural light of the seaside and the clothing materials.

Let's talk about the styling details first. This time, I chose a blue-and-white horizontally striped semi-transparent chiffon swimsuit. This fabric presents a very clear and translucent texture under direct light, perfectly fitting the cooling theme of the summer beach. The midriff-baring design of the upper body echoes the pleated miniskirt of the lower body, and paired with white over-the-knee socks, it visually elongates the leg lines. The bright yellow long tie around the neck counts as the most starkly contrasting accent color in the entire outfit, while also being echoed by a matching yellow wristband to keep the overall color palette from losing warmth amidst the cool blue and white tones. The head styling utilized a matching blue-and-white striped wide hairband, with a pink flower hair accessory worn on the left side, which both served as a visual highlight and accommodated the character's iconic traits. The blue short hair presented a soft texture under natural light without looking too rigid.

During the shoot, I focused on the coordination between props and body language. For instance, at the beginning, squatting on the sandy beach allowed the blue, white, and yellow color-blocked inflatable swim ring to serve as a visual support point, forming a stable semi-enclosed composition, while posing with both hands holding my head to display a slightly playful side of the character. The subsequent sitting pose adopted an angle with legs extended forward while glancing back, a posture that beautifully balances facial emotional expression with the display of leg lines. When standing, the action of putting both hands by the sides of my head to adjust the hairband not only stretched the lines of the upper body but also allowed the audience to clearly see the overall pattern and cut of this swimsuit, especially the lightness of the semi-transparent cover-up fluttering in the gentle breeze. The final few squatting poses close to the waves allowed the seawater to submerge the insteps of my feet, utilizing the flowing ripples of the sea and the white foam as a natural foreground to endow the frame with dynamic vitality.

For the makeup and hair, the skin maintained a clean and refreshing texture, and the red-pink tones around the eyes echoed the pink hair accessory, giving the character's gaze more spirit. When shooting outdoors during the day, to prevent high-contrast hard light from causing excessively heavy facial shadows, we chose angles that effectively utilized environmental reflections for this swimwear photography session. This both preserved the transparent details of the clothing fabric and presented a clean makeup look more aligned with the character setting. The sea breeze, the sound of the tides, and the beach beneath my feet all created a wonderful sense of immersion for this seaside cosplay, allowing me to quickly enter the shooting state and capture the most vivid moments amidst effortless pose transformations. Although this styling faced many challenges during the outdoor shoot—such as the sea breeze easily messing up the hair accessories and the semi-transparent cover-up—it was precisely these natural, uncontrollable factors that gave the photos their most authentic aura.
