This time, I chose a restaurant booth to shoot this Rem cosplay look. The light Blue hair bob wig required patient trimming—especially the side bangs covering the eye, which had to rest right around the line of sight, neither blocking vision nor ruining the natural flow of the original hairstyle. The small white flowers on the headband and the pink ribbons dangling from the side were fixed accessories; I secured them with bobby pins inside the hair to prevent them from shifting during the shoot.

For makeup, I used a matte foundation, focusing primarily on enlarging the eyes. Wearing light blue colored contact lenses paired with structured false eyelashes, slightly elongated eyeliner, and light pink eyeshadow smudged at the outer corners softened the face when coordinated with blush placement. For lip color, I chose a radiant water-red lip tint.

Because the costume's neckline and cuffs feature plenty of white ruffles, I adjusted the shoulder positioning when dressing to create an off-the-shoulder effect; the drape of the collar made the neck and shoulder lines look more natural. The black-and-white color palette is classic, but the black dress fabric reflects light easily, so we paid close attention to lighting angles and used a softbox for fill light to prevent blown-out highlights. Post-processing focused on subtle refinements to skin texture and face contours without altering overall color tones too much, preserving the cozy, warm indoor lighting.

After a full day, the headpieces and wig felt a bit heavy. For posing, I referenced the character's typical gestures, such as placing a fist by the cheek or making a peace sign. The entire photoshoot went smoothly as we explored various angles and expressions to faithfully recreate the character's persona. Regarding costume fidelity, such as sleeve length and neckline layering, subtle adjustments were made to ensure the look appeared more natural on camera. The most important part of cosplay is staying faithful to the character's makeup and aura while keeping a relaxed mindset during the shoot to capture truly atmospheric photos.
