This time cosplaying Reze, the core capture point is actually that dangerous yet pure trait in her. That line "Denji-kun, actually I never went to school either" hides too many complex emotions behind it, so when preparing for this cosplay, I spent a lot of time pondering her expressions and movements. To restore the character's iconic features, I specially trimmed the wig to have a layered piecey effect with the hair ends slightly flipped outward, plus a purple-black gradient tone, which can present a very good texture under strong light. The contact lenses chosen were high-color-rendering emerald green, paired with slightly deepened eye makeup, attempting to capture that somewhat distant yet slightly yandere gaze. In terms of clothing, the inner layer is a white short-sleeve shirt with vertical striped texture, and the collar has abundant ruffle details, which requires the fabric to have a certain stiffness so it won't sag. The outer black tight-fitting slip dress shapes the figure tightly, paired with black stockings and a choker, which nicely brings out that slightly gothic ascetic vibe. The prop was a bunch of white daisies; the yellow of the flower centers echoes the color of the eyes, and this fresh element colliding with the overall dark tone creates an exceptionally strong tension. The venue on the shooting day was chosen indoors with relatively dim light, relying mainly on artificial light sources. I asked the photographer to use hard light as much as possible, casting strong light-and-shadow boundary lines, which makes the character completely pop out from the background and gives the skin a texture closer to a doll. In terms of poses, not too many exaggerated postures were designed; emotions are mainly conveyed through the gaze and slight hand movements, such as adjusting hair or reaching out to the camera, adding a sense of story to the frame. In post-processing, the focus was on boosting contrast and dimming ambient light, making the overall vibe lean more towards stern and profound. The process of shooting this set of photos was super gratifying because Reze as a character has many details to explore, and every shot attempts to find a different side of her. Personally, I am quite satisfied with the completion level of this set, and I hope everyone likes this style.
