[Lynae cosplay] A Touch of Refreshment on the Summer Beach: Capturing Energetic Moments in Wuthering Waves

Shooting this Lynae Summer beach look came with many details worth sharing. Pre-production was quite elaborate—especially for the blonde gradient wig, which tended to tangle easily under the harsh beach sun, requiring several rounds of conditioning and detangling treatments beforehand. For makeup, the key highlight was the blue-purple reflections in the eyes, with eyeliner and eyelashes meticulously calibrated to match 2D proportions. As for the wardrobe, a semi-sheer white mesh top was layered over a light blue bikini and frayed denim shorts, utilizing the exposed midriff and a white thigh ring to accentuate the character's sleek contours; however, putting it on, taking it off, and adjusting its alignment on set took considerable time. On location, we intentionally chose straw parasols and wooden barrels as background elements, enhanced by dappled bokeh to evoke an authentic summer holiday vibe. In terms of lighting, wide apertures were used to make the subject pop, accompanied by reflector fill light across shadow areas to maintain translucent, luminous skin tones. Using a pink lifebuoy as a prop proved wonderfully efficient—it enriched the visual composition while providing natural support for arm placement. The prone close-up shot leveraged the glossy sheen of a white swim ring to enhance the catchlights in my eyes. Post-processing avoided excessive heavy skin smoothing, focusing mainly on unifying color tones, cleaning up messy background distractions like distant branches and railings, and applying a soft-glow finish. We chose the first photo for the cover because its playful pose and complete composition framed the outfit gorgeously without any edge-clipping issues. Overall, despite the sweltering heat, constantly managing sweat and shine ensured pristine visual textures. The gear and location harmonized seamlessly to deliver that dreamy coastal getaway aesthetic, making this a deeply rewarding character shoot.
