A lot of thought went into this look, from the accessories to the material of the skirt hem. The blue-and-white gradient tulle skirt hem spreads out on the white plush carpet, which, paired with the white flowers and vintage wooden window frames in the scene, creates a holy and slightly cool feeling. The golden wig was chosen in a style with a more natural layering on top. Along with the blue and white head rings, as well as the decorations on the wrists and ankles, these are all keys to restoring character details. Especially the color variance and starlight patterns of the skirt hem required special attention to the influence of lighting and ambient colors to capture a translucent feel.
During the studio shoot, to present the character's quiet and divine atmosphere, a low-angle high shot and a side-lying posture were chosen. With the combination of the white background and soft light and shadow, not many movements were needed; I only had to adjust the center of gravity and the drape of the skirt. A softbox was used for the lighting to suppress harsh shadows while preserving the texture of the tulle edges. Since it was my first time trying this character from Wuthering Waves, I worked through several states in facial expression management and posture.
Both the kneeling and extended postures can showcase different forms of the skirt hem, and the white and blue embellishments on the body along with some small accessory details just happen to support the character's visual focus. For high-accuracy Anime cosplay, the texture of the props, the lightness of the fabric, and the fit of the headpiece all need constant on-site adjustments. Whether it was the set design or the Saint makeup and styling for this shoot, everything started from the character's setting, hoping to bring that temperament from the game into reality for this piece of Cosplay photography.
