When releasing this set of Cyrene Cosplay photos, I specifically chose an open-air rooftop in the city center as the shooting location, wanting to attempt blending the character's innate agility with a casual streetwear outfit. Before heading out, I actually struggled for a long time with the coordination. Ultimately, I decided to abandon overly complex conventional costumes and instead select a more life-oriented Anime-inspired casual outfit with a lazy vibe. This photo set is all about a sense of sunshine and freedom.

First, regarding the hair and makeup section, the pink long hair was styled into twin braided pigtails, with light blue gradient highlights woven between the hair ends and strands so the colors wouldn't be too monotonous. The light blue knit beanie on top of my head and the elf ears are highly critical props for recreating the character, while the bangs section was clipped with colorful bobby pins—all small details that give the overall look a more lively sense of layers. For the makeup, I intentionally did a subtraction treatment, choosing not to apply heavy eyeshadow but emphasizing the eyelashes and a translucent base, hoping to present a natural, clean visual effect.

Regarding the outfit, the core is a white base crop top with red lettering, layered under a light blue striped drop-shoulder shirt jacket. Wearing it half-off beautifully displays the clavicle and neck-shoulder lines while carrying a touch of casual coolness. The lower half is paired with a dark gray pleated miniskirt, with a light blue tie and metallic chain at the waist serving as embellishments, increasing the visual focus of the lower body. White lace-trimmed ankle socks and white thick-soled sneakers are combined together, giving the entire styling both the refinement of anime culture and the comfort of daily wear.

The weather on the shooting day was incredibly supportive, with the blue sky looking as pure as if it had been color-graded. Near the rooftop, there were active cable cars and the metallic skeletal structures of a Ferris wheel, turning these industrial feelings and urban scenery into excellent shooting backdrops. The afternoon sunlight at three or four o'clock hit the perfect angle, spilling through these metallic structures onto the floor to form a beautiful mottled light and shadow.

During the photoshoot process, the photographer was excellent at shifting moods, allowing me to face the lens in a more relaxed state. There's a low-angle shot of standing on one leg while holding a lollipop; to balance my body, I subconsciously lifted my foot, and the lines turned out surprisingly beautiful in the final image. There is also a backlit photo looking back, where the sunlight coming from directly behind not only produced a beautiful halo around the edges of my hair but even transformed the cable cars behind me into a dreamy blurred background.

The lollipop in my hand was actually a great emotional prop; the action of eating candy inherently transmits a carefree, cute, and playful atmosphere. For the shot squatting on the stairs near the edge of the rooftop, the red-and-white簡潔 stair railings and the pure blue sky formed a powerful color contrast, looking clean and crisp. Although the entire shoot was exhausting, it brought many unexpected surprises.

I feel that this casual style cosplay that brings a character into real-world cityscapes, compared to a studio shoot, displays the character's vivid vitality much better. There's no need to intentionally force rigid poses; instead, capturing the most authentic and natural emotions during the split second when the wind blows through the hair or when spacing out while eating candy is enough. This represents the charm of urban rooftop photography.
