[Firefly cosplay] BilibiliWorld 2026 Day 1: Using This Bridal Look to Interpret a New Footnote of Destiny

Today at the venue of BilibiliWorld2026 Day 1, I chose this bridal look for Firefly as my convention photos release for the first day. For me, this is not just a routine convention photo drop, but a concrete expression of my own understanding of the character from Honkai: Star Rail.

A lot of detailed research went into preparing this outfit. The wig features a mint green gradient treatment at the ends based on the original color, paired with the appropriate bang length and sidelocks, and combined with purplish-red contact lenses, aiming to give the gaze a hint of determination without losing gentleness. The black headband and blue geometric rhombic pieces for the hair accessories, as well as the small flower hair clip on the side, all went through several fine adjustments in position, just to achieve a visual balance with the fluffiness of the bridal veil.

The entire bridal look dress features a color palette of pure white combined with mint green. The upper body adopts an off-shoulder and sheer tulle sleeve design, with layered ruffles paired with high-collared lace trim at the neckline, plus a bright yellow bow decoration at the collar, adding a touch of playful agility to the overall look. The skirt hem is a typical puffy short skirt style, with semi-transparent tulle on the outer layer and layers of white lace lined inside, paired with white over-the-knee socks and mint green ribbon leg rings, striving to find a perfect balance between 2D character restoration and the comfort of real-life physical clothing wear.

The shoot location this time was set up in front of the Nanlite booth, and the scene arrangement perfectly fit this theme. Pristine white iron double chairs, a fluffy white carpet, large clusters of light blue and pale pink artificial flowers decorating the background, along with white fabric drapes, created a very premium, clear studio atmosphere. I must praise Nanlite's lighting here; the high-key, bright yet extremely soft light hitting the face made the skin texture look exceptionally translucent without producing harsh shadows, pushing the sense of softness to the absolute limit.

During the shooting process, what gave me the greatest sense of security was the photographer's professional "gear" in Image 5. In addition to the external flash, they directly connected a phone as an external monitor. This real-time image transmission system is incredibly convenient. I didn't need to constantly run over to check the camera screen; just by looking at that phone screen, I could instantly know what my current pose and expression looked like through the lens, and even immediately spot if the veil was blocking my face or if the grip on the bouquet was natural. This efficient communication vastly reduced our rework rate in the noisy convention environment, allowing me to relax and immerse myself more in the state of "Firefly."

The experience at the convention venue is always exhilarating. Walking down the aisles, seeing many anime and gaming enthusiasts happily taking photos of each other. Sitting on the iron chair and striking various poses, whether it was a glance back or a lazy lean against the table, everything could be accurately captured through the lens. Although people were coming and going at the scene, everyone tacitly left shooting space for the cosplayer, and this atmosphere of mutual respect is truly wonderful.

Looking back, the character of Firefly herself carries a certain sense of destiny yet bravely moves forward. Just like the quote says, "I have already added a new footnote to destiny." Through this cosplay, I also hope to convey this emotion of bravely moving forward for one's destiny. Not seeking a 100% replica, but striving to showcase a gentle and resilient Firefly that belongs to my understanding. Every frozen moment on the booth stage is a soul resonance between us and the character.
