Shooting this JK uniform outfit for Firefly from Honkai: Star Rail actually took a long time to prepare. In terms of clothing, the most important points to notice were the details of the sailor collar and the alignment of the skirt's plaid pattern. The white jacket on the upper body has gold buttons and an armband, and the stripe width on the cuffs and collar edges also needed to match the original setting. The wig was specially made with a silver-white base color and a cyan-blue gradient at the tips for this Silver hair cosplay look; the bow headband on top and the feather decorations on the side had to be securely fixed, otherwise they would get crooked when the wind blew.

Before shooting, I adjusted the angle of the bow tie in the mirror several times. After all, with this kind of academy-style outfit, if it looks loose, it becomes sloppy. The school bag is a customized version, with the leather stiffness and badge positioning recreated as closely as possible, and it actually has some weight when held in hand. The little bear pattern on the leg warmers was also hand-painted; when worn, it sits right below the knees, which works wonderfully to shape the legs.

This time, a pure blue background was chosen with no extra scenery to concentrate the visual focus of the entire photo set on the character herself. The photographer really knows how to capture the moment; movements like standing on one leg with a slightly bent knee or turning around sideways were intentionally performed to create that sense of lightness, as if she would turn and walk away in the next second. Firefly gives me a feeling of being both gentle and carrying an unspeakable loneliness in the game. Therefore, for expression management, I didn't try to smile sweetly but maintained a peaceful state with a slight touch of contemplation.

The bouquet in my hand was a temporary match; the pink roses and green leaves formed a warm-and-cold contrast with the tones of the uniform. Actually, the light was very strong on the day of the shoot, and the reflector had to be used for a long time to make the facial contours look three-dimensional. During editing, the real texture of the skin was intentionally preserved without over-smoothing, mainly adjusting the background saturation to highlight the gray-and-white plaid of the clothes. I tried other standing poses before, but always felt they lacked a bit of storytelling. In the end, I chose this composition with the front slightly turned sideways, hands hanging naturally while holding the school bag, and my gaze looking slightly toward the front-side. It feels best suited for that lazy campus afternoon atmosphere I wanted to capture in this piece of Anime-style photography.
