[Elysia Cosplay] Honkai Impact 3rd Pink Maid Convention Photos

This set of Honkai Impact 3rd Elysia maid outfit convention photos taken at the Ijoy Expo turned out much better than expected in terms of both the overall shooting atmosphere and final results.

Let's first talk about the details of the makeup and styling. To recreate the feel of this Honkai Impact 3rd character, the overall makeup this time featured a clear base combined with warm-toned blush, focusing heavily on enhancing the innocent look of the eyes. Paired with bright blue colored contacts, the eyes still looked exceptionally spirited under the harsh lights of the convention venue. The pink short hair is a core part of this look; the textured strands of the hair paired with the white lace maid headband on top of the head perfectly fit the character's inherently soft and beautiful setting. The pointy elf ear props were also meticulously glued on to look natural and seamless.

The layering of the costume is highly sophisticated. The upper body features fluffy white bubble sleeves, where the ruffled design on the shoulders, the purple lacing on the chest, and the golden heart pendant on the black choker form a great visual focus. The purple corset design at the waist fits the body beautifully, and the golden button details and lacing make the entire outfit look even more exquisite. The skirt hem consists of multiple overlapping layers of white and purple color-blocked ruffles, which provide an excellent drape whether walking or sitting down.

During the shoot, we specially selected a few different angles to highlight the best features of this costume. In particular, the sitting convention photos not only perfectly showcase the texture of the white stockings but also allow the maid outfit's skirt hem to spread out naturally, forming an excellent composition. The material of the white tights looks very even under strong light, and paired with the black ankle straps, it enhances the overall layers. The environment at the convention venue was rather cluttered, so we had to pay close attention to light placement and cable routing. Huge thanks to the photographer of the day, who brought a portable softbox and reflector. Even in a venue with lighting as complex as a convention, they precisely captured the play of light and shadow on the costume, preventing the textures and colors from being washed out by the overhead spotlights at the top of the hall. The height of the step stool during the shoot also helped immensely; sitting in a high position allowed me to avoid the distraction of the cluttered convention crowds in the background, keeping the focus squarely on the main subject.

The foot traffic at the convention was actually quite heavy, so capturing such clean convention photos was truly no easy feat. There were many fellow role-playing enthusiasts on-site, and the atmosphere of exchanging styling tips and giving way to good camera spots allowed me to feel relaxed during the shoot, letting my movements unfold more naturally. The presentation of this maid outfit is not just a reproduction of outward appearance, but more importantly, capturing a light and playful inner trait. Personally, I absolutely love this style of convention photos that maintains high definition and great lighting even under expo conditions, as it manages to recreate the exquisite feel of the character's 2D setting within an authentic convention atmosphere. Quite a bit of thought went into adjusting the accessories, coordinating the makeup and hair, and debugging the lights over this period. Seeing the final results, I feel that all the effort was completely worth it.
