[Luuk Herssen Cosplay] Sci-Fi Doctor in Wuthering Waves: Cold and Arrogant

Today I'm sharing this Luuk Herssen cosplay from Wuthering Waves as a Cosplay photo sharing set, having finally finished editing the photos in between back-to-back conventions. When I first got this white and blue color-blocked techwear jacket, I was deeply impressed by its tailoring and streamlined stitching; even as an everyday Anime convention outfit or streetwear, it carries a strong futuristic vibe. Short light-golden hair is highlighted with blue-green ends, paired with cool-toned makeup and red lenses. Before going on camera, I specifically applied several layers of setting spray to handle the intense lighting and long hours at the convention. The black trousers on the lower body featured a slim fit; the DNA double helix pattern on the left leg is not only an iconic character design, but under the studio's cold white light, it reflects a subtle fluorescent texture. Combined with black lace-up boots, it makes the overall silhouette look remarkably slender and sharp. The curved long weapon in hand was the centerpiece of this shoot; its green base with blue trim color scheme carries a cold mechanical aesthetic. The weapon was undeniably heavy—to maintain the low angles and tilted compositions in these photos, my arm strength was truly tested. The posture in the first photo was deliberately designed; paired with a tilted camera position and a backward stretching dynamic momentum, this composition maximizes spatial depth, allowing metallic buckle details on the jacket, trouser lines, and boots to be well presented in frame. The second photo used an extremely low low-angle shot, naturally blurring the hand holding the weapon in the foreground to convey a stronger sense of oppression and looking down—this visual contrast fits Doctor Luuk's inherent traits perfectly. The background was chosen in a dark studio with black grid mesh and top light arrays; this cold, industrial sci-fi environment perfectly matched Wuthering Waves' worldview filled with unknown technological vibes. We encountered many challenges during shooting, such as the hair collapsing easily during dynamic movements, and needing to control props constantly to avoid scratching the costume. However, seeing the final photos with this cold, stern, yet refined overall atmosphere made all early adjustments and efforts worthwhile. This entire look not only drew considerable attention at the convention, but also gave me a deeper understanding of recreating this character. Later, I might use this studio again to shoot some brighter-toned photos, exploring another possibility for Luuk Herssen in daylight scenes. At the same time, I look forward to perfecting this state at upcoming conventions to present an even more accurate visual effect for everyone.
