The fabric texture of this outfit is something I truly adore; the pure white chiffon paired with deep navy ribbon bows creates an exceptionally sophisticated, cool-toned contrast under the blue studio illumination. To authentically recreate the character's presence, extensive time was dedicated to styling the wig, using hairspray to sculpt and lock the iconic curve of the twin-tails. The oversized ruffled bonnet also tested wearing technique, requiring careful placement to avoid obstructing eye contact. For hair and makeup, to complement the cool porcelain complexion, I selected blue-gray contact lenses and kept the foundation sheer and translucent, stripping away superfluous color.
The studio session was hosted at Xingman Yinghua, where the set dressing was executed with remarkable dedication. White faux-fur rugs lined the floor to simulate pristine snow, framed by white Roman pillars, angel sculptures, and azure blossoms, while a swing archway infused the space with dreamy allure. Photographer He continually guided my posing adjustments, particularly during the full-body cut with a raised leg; because of the voluminous puff of the skirt and the platform shoes, maintaining core balance was paramount. Pairing White stockings with black-soled, white-strapped platform shoes lengthened leg proportions, and their knit texture stood out crisply under the studio strobes.
Throughout the session, alternating between props—from a clear glass orb to a blue plush doll—grounded poses with narrative depth. The moment the ambient lighting washed over the set, the space felt transformed into a genuine realm of ice and snow. Because the ensemble leans into a classic Lolita aesthetic, exaggerated posing was unnecessary; subtle side turns toward the lens or reclining against the swing frame captured the ideal mood. During the seated frames, spreading the white sheer skirt across the floor alongside pink and blue blooms fostered a pristine, clean aesthetic. Post-processing intentionally subdued ambient shadows to accentuate the stark interplay between icy blue and pure white. Though the studio was freezing, seeing the finished Anime-style photography quality made every second worthwhile.
