This set of Luoshui Tianyi costume and wig has been in my hands for some time, and I've been pondering a suitable scene to present it. This time, I finally scheduled a bamboo forest with the photographer and completed this location shoot I've always wanted to take. The overall color tone is mainly mint green, light blue, and white, with a pearlescent texture on the fabric that emits a very delicate sheen under natural light. To match this crystal-clear style, I made quite a few adjustments to my makeup, wearing blue-green contact lenses, and choosing warm pinkish tones for both eyeshadow and blush to neutralize the cool, detached feel brought by the silver-gray wig. For the hair styling, I combed two symmetrical ring-shaped buns, decorated with floral and pearl element hair ornaments, leaving long strands of hair on both sides to flatter the face shape.
The layering of the costume is extremely rich, with the outermost layer being those multi-layered wide sleeves whose edges resemble petals or scales, paired with the white crossed-collar inner wear inside. Wearing it makes the whole person look very light. There are also exquisite embroidery and appliqués on the clothes, with details maxed out. During the shoot, I leaned against the dark brown wooden railing, with a large expanse of green bamboo forest behind me. Special thanks to the photographer here for capturing the large-aperture bokeh effect wonderfully, making the background clean and completely highlighting the main character. I tried to gently cross my hands in front of my chest at the collar, keeping my posture as soft as possible, and slightly turning my face to look at the lens. Natural light filtered through the bamboo leaves onto me, and the light was very soft, producing effects without needing overly complex lighting.
In terms of action design, I didn't choose overly expansive postures, instead trying to make the most of the wide sleeve hems. Sometimes just simply raising a hand to tidy up the collar, or letting the sleeves drop naturally, brings out that ethereal feeling naturally. The material of this outfit is very light, and when a gentle breeze blows, the sleeves flutter, making the dynamic effect captured in candid shots much more vivid than posed ones. The entire shooting process went very smoothly, and this slightly cool yet gentle temperament matched the bamboo forest environment and atmosphere exceptionally well. The texture of the original photos was already very good, and post-processing only slightly brightened and unified the colors, retaining the skin texture and the original appearance of the clothing material.
The process of preparing this anime cosplay also accumulated a lot of experience for me, such as shooting light-colored costumes outdoors, where you must pay attention to the reflection of ambient light to avoid the clothes appearing dark due to the reflection of green plants. The trimming and grooming of the wig are also crucial, requiring maintenance of fluffiness so it doesn't look rigid. I hope this photo set can convey the light, gentle feeling of Luoshui Tianyi. Although the whole process was a bit tiring, the moment I saw the final photos, I felt that the early preparation and the fatigue during the shoot were all worth it.
