I was invited to participate in the Honkai: Star Rail Fan Content Festival, and this time I chose to recreate Firefly's bridal look. When I first got this outfit, there were indeed many details that needed adjustments, especially the layers of the veil and the gradient of the skirt. The light blue bow on the hair accessory echoes the blue tulle on the skirt, and the yellow bow on the chest also serves to brighten the overall color palette. After fixing the fluffiness of the wig, I used my home environment to take a few simple photos.
This shoot did not use a professional studio; I just took self-portraits in my bedroom using natural light and my phone. The white plush carpet and curtains provided a soft background, allowing the white and light blue tones of the outfit to stand out nicely. Although my face is covered, I feel the overall completion of the look reached my expectations. During the Fan Content Festival, seeing the works of many other creators made me feel different dimensions of creativity, which is actually very helpful for optimizing my own clothing details and shooting angles next time.
When taking these three photos, I chose different sitting and kneeling poses to showcase the characteristics of this bridal outfit. The kneeling pose shows off the fluffiness of the skirt, while the one sitting on the chair better displays the over-the-knee socks and ankle bracelet design. The interwoven tones of white and light blue, combined with the silver-white long hair, truly create a dreamy feeling. Personally, I prefer to convey the character's sense of daily life through simple home scenes rather than overly complex composited backgrounds.
The platform provided by the Fan Content Festival has given everyone a wonderful opportunity to create. From purchasing the costume, ironing the details, and styling the hair to the final shoot, a lot of thought went into it. This bridal version of Firefly can be considered a relatively complete attempt. I hope to continue challenging more Anime cosplay looks from Honkai: Star Rail in the future. Although the creative process is hard work, the moment you see the finished photos, all the investment becomes meaningful. The texture of this outfit is actually very lightweight, unlike some heavy armors that make it hard to move, which gave me more freedom in my posing. Overall, it was a very pleasant creative experience.
